Most of the opinions I got now, seems to point me to sell the SAGE II and keep the SOCOM II recently bought as is. So, I placed the SAGE II in the EE Forum, if it goes then so be it, if not then I keep it till maybe I get an idea of what it should be configured out, 18.5 or 16 barreled.

Thanks to those who PM'd.

this is tearing me up inside. to MCS or not to..............see my dilemna is this, my m305 is not a 400$ norc. It's a P&D Socom, #6 of 10, and pretty damn accurate, with all the bells and whistles. what would you guys do?

Buds how did you like the Ergo grip? was it a straight R&R?
How was the fit?

mildot,

If you're referring to that Grey Chopmod Sage, the fit on that with the Ergo Grip is perfect. My friends who shot with it love it as well. The Sage II also sported the same feature and it feels fine. From the time I posted this new pics I am still lost when it comes to selling it. Don't see anyone posting there same build for the Sage II stock here.

EC:)

Looks heavy, anyhow congrats!

It is heavy but my friend who has rheumatoid arthritis in his hands didn't mind it at all. His comments was that it was a pleasure to shoot. On the other hand lugging this in battle would exhaust you out I am sure. Oh well, I am just a civilian enjoying my hobby.:D Thanks.

Found this picture lurking in the file.:)

I've seen Echo Charlie's SOCOM stock today (live).
It looks waaaay better than in the pictures and, IMO,
It looks and feels much better than the Sage.

Thanks Dr. Lector. :)

Joe Dlask and I were discussing some upgrades to the MCS and the possible manufacture of some M14S/M1A parts via Joe when the Dr. walked in and shared some thoughts on the topic. Hopefully, Joe would start on this. More pics to come when upgrades are done.

looks like we all just missed each other today at Dlask...... I was fondling your mcs socom again today too there echo charlie hehehe i was gentle and wiped away the drool and greasy fingerprints :D :D
collectively our efforts to get Joe to delve deeper into the m14 accessories is starting to pay off. I've been bringing him norc barrels non stop for chopmod work. Got him convinced to make up a dovetail gas lock front sight.... but we will not see it anytime real soon. He'll have my stock adaptors ready for my new production fiberglass stocks in a week or so :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana:

Awesome

Well My MCS has arrived with one of the new 2007 Norcs in it. I am gonna be grinning for a week or so. :D

Very Nice! This was the one posted at the EE Forum by Gadget a few weeks ago. Let us know how you like it.:D

Thanks also to Capt. P for the compliments.:)

I like it. Its not as heavy as I thought and it is very easy to strip down and reassemble. I tore it apart last night cleaned all the cosmo off the rifle and had it back together in about an hour and a half.
I was gonna take it to the range today but the damn benchresters have the range booked so I'll have to wait.

Rumor of a new TROY stock.....

H20 Man,
Rumor has it that a new TROY stock will be coming out and it will have a plastic body. Any truth to do this? Maybe you can check your sources there in the US. Thanks.:)

After a brief pause in shooting and setting up the TROY, I also decided to keep the JAE 100/M1A SOCOM I had previously advertised. Here are the 2 rifles.
