Want a 20 round sized mag...
Ahh, im thinking of swapping the pins to the yankee hill EZ pull takedown pins..if they fit/if I keep it haha.
You have to modify the PMAGS, I took a dremel to the mag body and now rounds cycle easily.
What are you guys using for scope/mount combos , I want to find a a one piece just don't know what brand to go with
What ammo were you using?? Did you only bring the one type? Was gun cleaned and lubes properly?
Just tried mine for the first time today. Not particularly impressed with the accuracy. I was getting 4-inch groups at 100 yards, and after about 50 rounds it started jamming. First I would pull the trigger, I would hear the hammer strike but nothing would happen. When I pulled the bullet out there was no strike on the primer. This happened three times in a row, so I opened up the rifle to look at the bolt. (By the way, just to add my two cents to the takedown pins discussion, on mine the rear pin is easy enough to move but you first have to push it with something; the front pin can only be moved with a mallet.)
The firing pin was completely recessed, and I’m guessing it wasn’t going all the way to the cartridge. So I shook it around a bit, reassembled the BCG and resumed shooting. I was able to get about five shots before I heard “click” again. And that’s when the jamming started. I had to bang the charging handle on the side of the table to get the cartridge to eject. From that point on I was only able to get two or three shots before the above scenario repeated itself. It wasn’t a particularly nice day at the range, weather wise, so I was getting pissed off and decided to call it a day. I only got to shoot half the ammo I had brought.
It’s too bad because I was really excited when I bought this gun. But my first experience with it left a lot to be desired.
I have about 20 rounds through mine. Started with Federal Tactical 165g. It would go bang every time and ejected every casing but the bolt would not pick up the next round to chamber. This was with both the factory mag and a xcr mag. I had to cycle the action between each shot. Also it was deforming the soft point as some other people noted when chambering. It would flatten them out. Switched to Federal sierra match 168g bthp and the fail to chamber improved to about 50/50 and then I had three successful in a row before I stopped. Maybe it needs to break in? Since then I have changed the stock to a A2 fixed which needed a new buffer and spring so I will see if that changes things.
cycling live ammunition in your house...
Little sissy got offended, go look for your safe space.
