Trudeau and Blair BAN 12 Gauge and 10 Gauge SHOTGUNS!

For anyone saying the muzzle isn't the bore, or a choke tube is smaller than 20mm, think about how the government measures overall length of a non restricted barrel - no muzzle devise.

How about overall length of a non restricted - folding stocks don't count.

Think they'll let you leave the choke in to make the diameter smaller?

I am sure this was just an oversite and will be corrected over time , but how much time ?
In the meantime I wonder if it will be enforced my the RCMP, OPP, LOCAL POLICE , CCONSERVATION OFFICERS, FIREARMS OFFICE OF ONTARIO.
BUT AS OF NOW WE SHOULD ALL REGISTER OUR PROHIBITED FIREARMS NOW AND OVERLOAD THEIR SWSTEM

I think to change it they would have to repeal the OIC because it’s flawed and they won’t because it would look bad.

Oh boy... I guess we have to settle with Slingshots or an old reliable Red Ryder. Seriously, this prohibition is the biggest joke in town. Enforced by losers who can't think of a solution to address gun violence. And politicians who are not ready to enact laws that will protect Canadians. When Dougie Ford took charge of the Ontario CPC, I never liked his antics. But the way he handled this pandemic, he has my full support. I hope he takes his aim in the Federal CPC leadership, he still has time.

Bore diameter is not threaded extension diameter, surely? The bore of a shotgun, any shotgun, is the fixed diameter between chamber and choke.

Well, they can measure the end or cut your barrel and measure the middle.

The way government has banned dual use mags and other items based on their interpretation of the law, I don't think saying that the middle is the correct size is going to work.

Me too, the man has really surprised me. He is doing an excellent job during this pandemic. He is also someone who I can see as being a leader of the CPC and kick the turd to the curb hopefully to be washed into the sewer where he belongs.

my 1974 duck gun is 20.6mm and my 5k$+ skeet gun is 20.2mm. Mistake or not, here's a good opportunity to get fudds on board.

Is that in the choke or the treads? I bet those old Marlin bolt actions long range goose guns are tight as hell.

I wouldn’t if I were you...... just sayin’

This is actually great new for us.

1. Gets all firearms owners united as everyone has a 12g shotgun.
2. Shows how rushed and poorly drafted this tyrannical regulation is.
3. Will increase the cost of a buyback well beyond what anyone can stomach even in the left wing media.

I think he might, even staunch liberals think hes okay

It's not us you will have to convince, it's a judge who likely will have no knowledge of firearms.

Good point but not just the Judge, but the hardcore Cop that just wants to Jack you up and will now be able to confiscate your shotgun because he will "be unable to determine in the field if your Shotgun meets the regs"

This was probably an oversight and caused by rushing a bs OIC. but once your shogun is confiscated in the field you will most likely have your PAL suspended and all your firearms taken until an appeal; and you may never get them back.

You hit that right on the head. Firearms laws in Canada are so convoluted that even law enforcement doesn’t know them. It’s basically like throwing a charge at someone and seeing if it sticks in court.

I have to expect this to get some clarification or modification based on the simple cost of this element of a buy back alone. Could you imagine the bill for shotguns alone? Assume 2 million shoguns in Canada (probably low) at $1000 average buy back (again, probably low), and that's 2 BILLION DOLLARS!

guns with removable chokes are not threaded to end of barrel. There is a smooth portion and that and the choke portion are included in the barrel length.
