This just proves again what a knee jerk reaction this ban is. I knew most politicians were incompetent boobs but this just tops it off. In Blair’s defense though...I think he was drunk ...again!

I measured my 12 gauge without the choke, maximum diameter and it is 20mm. The outside of the choke, measured on top of the threads measure 20mm. Am I missing something?
 
Saami, "Shotguns or muskets, the interior dimension of the barrel forward of the chamber but before any restrictive choke or expanded muzzle." Measure the choke tube where it meets the barrel interior It will be under 20mm.

Don't confuse Saami with what is going on now.

"Without the choke tube installed." is the forensic technical spec. Then the OIC says bore diameter over 20mm, and captures 12ga and 10ga with removable tubes.

My understanding is that bore and cal must match.
So 12ga shell (18.5mm)is made for a 12 ga shotgun bore so it's fine regardless of the choke.
Either way most of us are now criminals and our rights have been violated under this communist regime.

Your reference is measuring length, not bore diameter. You're looking the wrong way. I agree with what others have said, calm down people. I don't see anything to cause me to think my 12 ga is banned. Yet.......no doubt its coming at some point but not because removing the choke now makes it prohib.
 
I love all the excuses being made for The Turd and Blair on this site. "They obviously didn't mean it for hunting shotguns" and "it doesn't count because blah blah blah". God forbid they are as corrupt and stupid as they have shown themselves to be since the late Jurassic. Heaven help us if this is a way to get all this crap thrown out. Quislings....
