So suppose you took your shotgun out to the cottage before these shenanigans started, now you're a criminal for transporting a prohibited firearm which was specifically designed for hunting game.

This cannot be the reality we're living in. We cannot let this stick.

Not all branches of the government has licence to possess firearms. It's also not federal and was exempt from licensing prior based on age and black powder but may not be exempt from the new 20mm rule.

This is nerve wreaking, even some dealers are worried about this, told my sons that we will cancell turkey hunting until this OIC is recinded. 2020 is the year of the big shiit.

I've decided on a 20 gauge for bird hunting. Atleast for now they're legal.
 
To all those denying 12ga will be enforced by the RCMP as prohibited simply look up the Ruger 10/22 mag limit debacle or view the SPARTAN history here:

The RCMP enforce the laws as written to the letter, no mater if they make sense or not. In the case of the 10/22 mags they even decided on the side of criminalizing Canadians when they didn't have to. It's always been their stance.

The RCMP will view this as Bill Blairs fault and will have no recourse but to enforce the law. Ol Billy and Trudeau will have to make a correction in some form.
 
If you look at the actual ban list, at the part that says anything with a 20mm or more in diameter is now prohib, right beside that part in the same sentence it says "other that those that are capable of neutralizing explosive devices". Then, if you scroll down to see firearms listed they are all launchers for grenades and missiles. There is also a 20mm grenade launcher.

Would that not mean that they are speaking exclusively of launchers and not shotguns? I also notice they left all of that out in OP.. Correct me if I'm wrong I don't know a lot about this. Doesn't mean stay on the couch and not do anything but maybe it might mean our shotguns are safe?

If you want to go turkey hunting with your 12g, go for it. Nobody is going to do anything about.

I believe they want to ban them, but it wasn't this time. This is just a good example of how little these dolts actually think about what they are doing.
