I do and that's completely fine.

My initial post on the subject was made in response to a proposed conduct at a public rally (post 395), where the goal is to influence public opinion and support towards us!
 
With regards to the women's conference and the torstar article implying "nothing to see, move along...", has it not occurred to the feminists that allwoing them improved self defence capabilities might be more effective than shifting gun ownership to the exclusivity of the criminal realm?

No more target shooting on crown land, and a complete ban on all semi auto rifles, shotguns and handgun sales. A conservative majority in the next elections is our only hope. Time to rack up the credit card.
 
After reading all of the posts, I've got to admit the rumour mill is rampant. Speculation is one thing. Intelligence is another thing.
Facts remain unknown.
To win a fight, one doesn't need to be off balance. And pick the battle ( or the moment to strike). If these "rumours" become facts, it might be time to test it in the Supreme Court.
We have various resources available to us - in government and outside. Remember - these laws are created by government lawyers (with a similar mindset to pursue charges against V/A Norman) with NO input from those they directly impact.
Wait - wait - and bring all of the lawful resources we can muster to end this to our collective success.
Vote in October in favour of what you wish to happen.
Get involved in the party that you think supports our collective interest.
Volunteer and talk to people.
This has been coming for some time and frankly, a complacent response from our cohort will not suffice.
There's 2.2 million plus LAWFUL firearms owners and enthusiasts - get involved.

Exactly what I was thinking too. It would be awesome to pitch self defence to women, and I am sure alot of women and men would be up for this idea especially the feminists.
 
I have always wondered with c-71 and the possible handgun and semi auto ban on the radar for some time now . Why hasn't the ranges or firearm venders push this information as soon as you enter their premises. I speak to all kinds of hunters and fellow firearm owners that have purchased firearms or ammo recently and they have no clue as to what is being purposed. I just came back from the range after a huge wait because they were so busy with stags and not a word or any posted info about the possible changes..... I dont get it. I hate to say it Wanstalls , but you and many many others are a little to late on this.

When in our lifetime have they ever directly answered a simple question? They have canned statements and they don't vary from them. This was his prepared response to any question involving a ban on firearms.

I don't believe any of this. Aside from it being ridiculous, it doesn't make sense politically either. These people are all idiots, but they know how to play the game. This wouldn't be a good play for them.

I disagree. I do NOT want to know who the source is. If the source’s identity is revealed, it could endanger their job and stop all further whistle-blowing about the Lieberal plans. The Lieberals wound LOVE to know who leaked the information! Of course we want to know if the story is true, but insisting upon knowing who the source is can be like “killing the goose that lays the golden egg.” Think of espionage. If the public insisted upon knowing the identity of a spy who uncovers a plot, that spy would soon be arrested and executed.

The ideal would be for the source to be able to continue reporting secretly and anonymously and at the same time it would be great if other sources also revealed information and corroborated the original story. Unmasking the whistle-blower would discourage others from speaking up.

Yes and no.

I think we would need to see a very large increase in the number of assaults rapes and murder of women in order to scare some of them into wanting self-defense. Pretty much the same principal that safety violations don't get fixed until somone dies or is seriously hurt.

That said the US is hyper violent and still many women there are against firearm ownership for self defense.

Really it has to impact someone directly.
 
with all due respect, #### the legion, its a lie and not what it claims to be. There are more civis than vets in that supposed vetran's club, nor does it serve the post cold war vets

"Hobby" or "lifestyle" or "religion" it doesn't matter. The left will demonize us until we all roll over and drop dead. And believe you me? They want for us all to drop dead. To them? We are worse than cancer.
