No. Absolutely not. Theft is theft, thieves should be dealt with harshly. Let's pretend I have >100k invested in my hobby, does anyone think it is just to take a $100,000 from a person because of anxiety?

Also, no to banning dog breeds, sports cars, van rental, knives, distasteful art, and ideas that offend. No to banning dirty jokes, typically accurate stereotypes, the use of cash...

No to forced cultural identity, UN interference, and taxation without true representation while we are at it.
 
If they ban AR's then we should ban 2x4's as well because one person got beaten up by a mad man, upss, meant to say by a menacing 2x4 which kept falling on the victim until she died. Since they claim firearms are evil entities, same should be proclaimed for vehicles, knives, sugar, tobacco, alcohol etc, AND of course those evil 2x4's which definitely should be banned along with many other pieces of dangerous lumber.

The point is not to sway the antis, it's to get political / public support for our position. Huge difference.

If you have a better idea, please post it and put yourself out there. You do have a better idea don't you?

If not and something different bugs you so much, ignore me - it will be better for both of us.

Didn't have to be that way, we missed the opportunity of a lifetime to reverse our fortunes with four years to do it in.
 
The political correctness police should bring back carding if they want to get illegal guns out of the hands of criminals and save lives. Gun violence has skyrocketed in Toronto since this practice was banned. No politician has the balls to say this since it was labeled as racial profiling. From a liberal point of view I guess it’s ok to waste millions of tax payers dollars passing and enforcing new gun legislations that shake down legal gun owners and steal our guns out of our safes. But at the same time, they won’t give police the authority to do random checks of suspected gang members in the problem areas of our cities because it could offend someone. What a country we live in.

Well said, we now live in an era where logic has been turned upside down and common sense has become a thing of the past but as long as everyone feels happy then who cares right?

To a liberal mindset the gun community stepping out to work on root causes that lead to suicide and domestic violence would be a total (irrational) shock to them.

After decades of us doing the same old, same old the Liberals and the MSM have us neatly boxed in and we don't disappoint their simple plans.

Doesn't sound like a winning plan does it?

There is nothing different about your hearts and minds ideology. Tried and failed many times. You don't seem to grasp that there is a Liberal majority and they are the gatekeepers of public information along with telling the public what is and isn't acceptable. Liberals excel and strive to fully control the public this way. Plus the public doesn't care about gun owners as long as it doesn't affect them. Hence why the Liberals make it scary and a threat. Like all advertising, you create the problem and sell the solution. That's exactly what is going on here. Now if you think you can raise the support and funding to out spend and out promote the current Canadian government, then your "new ideas" are just more delusions.

As I've said in the past your "ideas" are nothing new. Wasting money on ineffective and doomed to failure ideas aren't new! The only reason you are pushing this is because it won't bankrupt or take all of your time. You're trying to cry for others to buy into this doomed to failure lack of business plan you have going on.

Focus on the election. Win the government support. That's where what little resources and money we actually have, has to go.

Something different to me such as failure always bugs me. So recommendation accepted. Ignore it is. Have a good life. May I suggest you go door to door on Saturday morning spreading the good word and your "new ideas". Wear a suit! :p

You do what you feel is right/what you want to do. Personally I’d rather hold onto mine until someone comes and gets them. No, I won’t be putting two in his chest, one in his head... just won’t voluntarily hand them over. If they are still in your possession if/when a ban is overturned, you’re back where you started. If you handed them in, well, they’re melted down.
Oh and technically you’d only have to hand in the serial number part so if it came down to it, strip them down and hand over only what’s required. Of course this is all theoretical, since all we’re running off is speculation.

but have dirt on your licence plate and have to provide a breath sample. Sunshine and butterfly's right there criminals have rights and everyone else toes the line.
