I'm hoping T.I will make it right so I can swap my rifle out. I don't care about the wood gaps and scratches as it's going to be fired plenty, I realize fit and finish won't be perfect but this was a bit of a letdown.

Why was there alot of gaps on te furniture and it looked banged up??

Just got mine (2 days shipping) !
Very nice and sturdy packaging.
Beautiful wood with nice finish and no scratches.
Very nice bluing with two minor scratches on the receiver.
Took it apart and parts are nicely finished with no marks of dremel adjustments.
I am 100% happy with the fit and finish.
Thank you TI !

Slight gap at stock, larger gap at handguard with a plug to fill a hole, under receiver by handguard scratched up, bluing on rails worn down a bit and 2 rivets (1 on each side) slightly raised on the bottom while the rest are uniform and flush

sounds like you got the ugly stepchild of the bunch.

No tracking for me yet. Was hoping it would be here before reading week was over so I could have some fun innawoods before going back to classes for the winter, alas she may be a safe queen until xmas break.

Folder with a bunch of mags, plus a few more on an extra older.

If they even start shipping by then

The one armed shipper (who was just recently fired from his paper route) will require a few days break to recharge after the first wave of fixed orders go out.

That's definitely been done with a handheld grinder. There must have been corrosion or a burr or rough machining in that area that someone smoothed out.

Truth be told, if it were mine, I'd contact TI with pics and ask for a replacement bolt or replacement rifle. They haven't sold out of fixed stock guns yet, so they should be able to warranty you I imagine.

Interestingly, I notice on some of the rifles the stock wood looks to be BEECH - not chu wood. If china sourced beech for the stocks, that would be great news as it's a very durable and suitable choice.
