M10X is just another fluff piece, probably shoot itself appart before the Type 81 is even broken in,the M10X video is funny.the guy talks about the great relaibilty of it,since they have almost 2000 rounds through it,,LOL.that's what 2 or 3 days of range fun, let's see 20 or 50 thousand rounds through one,the Type 81 is THE REAL DEAL,military grade with proven track record,i'll that kind of record any day.

Actually the T81 was designed with a 20,000 round life expectancy, was in service for less then a decade before a replacement was designed. The Chinese have gone through 3 different front line rifle designs since the 1960's while the US is still running those silly "shoot themselves apart" aluminum M16's.

I guess now that the T81s are so close to delivery, you have to move away from the "they'll never get made" rhetoric and try to find something else to whine about.
Petty.

Youza.

I'm pretty sure my original statement on the "getting made" was that China would not make 1000 rifles just for TI, min-production is 30,000 units so the only way they would ever get made was if they got tagged on to a larger order....which is exactly what happened right?

And now grasping at straws.

I put in a word with the Captain, express delivery inbound...

Actually. Though the basic design of the m16 is the same the current m16a4 is really a new rifle compared to the original 16 as designed by Mr Stoner. Cold hammer forged barrel, larger diameter gas tubes etc.

Guys let's stop the BS bickering before the thread gets locked again. If you are not getting a T81 I don't see why you have to piss all over the parade of those of us who are. If you are getting one, stop feeding the damn troll! He wants the attention! It's quite obvious his mommy didn t hug and hold him enough as a baby. Then again maybe he was hatched!

So really a new rifle you say... but identical "design" with nearly 100% parts compatibility from the first M16's issued 50+ years ago, to current day M4?
I don't think you understand what the word ""design" means.
