Some just can't allow anyone to voice his or her discontent. Every time when someone suggest something that may improve the efficient and effective way of managing this long and agonizing process, they will go on attacks, basically telling people to love TI and not to bother them. Nothing to update? Many buyers could use an update. We know it is busy but that's what running a business means. There is a lot of room for improvement.

I have not received any info on shipment. I worry that ti missed my order.

These people with their incessant demands for ridiculous and totally unnecessary updates are taking them away from the far more important task of shipping rifles. I don't give a rats ass if someone is butt-hurt over not receiving daily updates when there is nothing of substance to update. I just want my rifle. I am more than willing to be an adult want wait for it. If TI started daily updates, some of the usual suspects would whine and demand twice daily-updates. If they did that, they'd whine for hourly updates.
 
Any idea how long it takes to get the rifle once you’ve got a tracking #? Mine is still stuck in Calgary with a est delivery of October 24, 2017.... from last Wednesday. Doesn’t look like it’s moving or is there a postie out there with a new Type 81?. Hmm

I will give it back when i am done.... Give me some time!

That is a good thing. At least Canada post, unlike the province of Ontario, has the decency to recognize the sacrifice made by vets and observe a holiday. I am happy to wait an extra day.

Good Point... with out the Vets... we may not have any firearms!!!
With CP... the plants are open on weekends... And from AB to ONT is a bit of a Drive... but someone out there is on the road driving over the weekend.

The people that whine will still whine, but on the other hand how many emails/calls would not have been made if TI posted a daily update? For what it’s worth I wondered what was going on with mine, if there was an issue with my Tactical Capital desposit or shipping address, but never called or emailed and I got my shipping notification Friday night, and I still feel that TI’s lack of updates has been less than impressive.

Sounds like you're the real whiner here

I really don't think that posting a quick update each day about how many and what type have shipped/remain to be shipped would delay the shipping effort by much. Sure, probably TI is doing its best, short of hiring more help, but easy pro-active steps to avoid customer concerns, real or imagined, is the smart way to go with a retail business.

I'm totally with you, my statement was quoting that grump mantis.
 
There is nothing to update - the rifles are in their possession and being shipped. Many people have theirs already. What update could they possibly need to provide???

And yet silence has created this mess of a thread.

Control the narrative... speak of how many went out today.... if they are almost done the fixed and about to move onto the folders...

None of this in the grand scheme of things is very important. But in controlling the message with one or two minor posts it creates a feeling of being informed and limits the necessity to waste time responding to emails and phone calls that would actually diminish and allows that time to respond to be put to other things.

Like shipping.

It's a strategy. Other dealer's do it with great success... so much so buyers don't see it unless it is pointed out.
 
Yes, unfortunately perception is usually reality, and if buyers think they aren't getting good treatment then this is how it is, whether or not its true. This whole thread is not about people having to wait an extra week or two (who cares when you've already waited a year) but rather its about being in the dark as to where things stand.
 
My tracking shows my rifle left Calgary this past Thursday. Hoping for a Tuesday delivery? Expected delivery date according to cp is oct.23/2017 lol ... so
