For your viewing pleasure... Not my best work but I will blame it on the flat light and wearing gloves.

100 yards sitting, shooting off a range bag, no rear rest. -4C, calm using Dominion 123 GR, HP.

The CZ 858 is one of Wolverines and the SKS came from SFRC while waiting for the Type 81 to clear customs. The bolt carrier and bluing for the T81 and SKS appear to have come from the same factory.

The Type 81 is softer shooting than the CZ, more feedback from the bolt cycling with the CZ. Also trigger advantage goes to the T81.

I feel the T81 may be handicapped by the shorter sight radius. But still a joy to shoot.

Thanks TI for bringing these rifles in:)

It was never advertised as a precision rig, so that is fair enough.

Looks like more space between the hits for the 81, than either of the others. You are certainly consistent with impact area on the targets.

Rifles look good, together.

I received my "EH"K yesterday and was able to put about 100 rounds through it today, i must admit it groups a lot better than the SKS that's for sure, no flyers it seems, again minute of man but a bit skinnier of a man hahaha these are quite a cool beast, I am curious if it will throw my dummy grenade very far? if i ball up enough to try I will definately post a video of it haha
and jfyi i ordered fixed one extra mag and was an original but bailed last year to buy a brs99 than jumped back in this summer when news of production started

Thank-you, yes I do like the look of this trio.

I wear progressives and at distance I hit left. Hand it to someone else and it is centered. I did a 25 meter zeroing target and it was spot on out of the box.

You've waited this long, to cancel now mere meters from the finish line seems like something you'll regret

Adams right, find something else to do for a week or so.I almost cancelled and would be really PO,d at myself if I did.Im not patient either but if you miss this you will regret it.

Absolutely. I ordered march 21 2016 and mine will finally be here on the 20th. I never debated on cancelling because this is the one rifle I've obsessed over for years because I can never own an ak here.

And dont start flooding TI with texts, e-mails, phone calls and other foolish things
All you are going to do is slow down the shipping..
Just complain on CGN and dont listen to the naysayers

People complain on CGN?!! ;) ;)

Mine is somewhere between Calgary and my doorstep. I'm having visions of Canada Post employees checking it out before me.

Really looking forward to its arrival though.

Pmag mod is a 15 minute job

Forgot to mention i managed to mod a gen 3 pmag to work and it runs flawless no bolt hold open.

You have to cut the notch into the rear of the mag and mod the front of the mag.
The rifle has a distinct pattern in the front that the mag fits into and this is where most of the modification will have to be made.
I do not have any other ak pattern rifles so mod to the mag is ok for me .
I do not think any mods to the rifle would allow the unmodified mag.

Modified a ak pmag and it works fine.Gen3.
NOTCHED THE REAR FILED DOWN THE FRONT OF THE MAG TO MATCH ORIGINAL.
LITTLE BIT OF A FILE JOB ON THE FRONT TWO CORNERS AND IT RUNS.
FITS TIGHTER THAN ORIGINAL.FEEDS FINE.
NO BOLT HOLD OPEN.

thank you very much. very good news.

Pictures sent to claven2

It all looks pretty simple to me.

One always gets the machine when calling. Emails take minimum two days to get a reply and it's always some standard language containing little concrete information.

They replied to me twice in less than 12 hours each time with a clear message and a thank you.

Just complain on CGN and dont listen to the naysayers

Laugh2

Thanks for the photos.

But I would say it can do way better than this grouping. :) I got 4 9s and 1 10s when I had military training back in high school. (target circle radius is similar (maybe slightly larger) to your target). at 100 meters. We were only given 5 rounds per person. I was shooting a type 56 semi. Type 81 is supposed to have similar accuracy. Oh, besides, we were asked to shoot 3 rounds at prone position and 2 rounds at kneeing position. We were trained for a week for aiming skill before the range shooting.

Got mine today, with free sling and extra mag. The furniture is more of a medium brunette so im quite happy with it. It definately exhibits some of the fit and finish of some Norc products I've bought before but i am really happy i finally have it!! My DDR 4 cell mag pouch holds all 4 type 81 mags perfectly. ( i bought 1 extra mag, it came with 2 and as an early purchase bonus i got another one for 4 total.) Its interesting the bolt is an AK bolt and fits in my Valmet Hunter carrier except the back sticks out a cm or so longer. (Firing pin too.) The dust cover is longer than my Valmet one as well. In a pinch i can chop it down and use the x39 bolt on my .223 Valmet if i ever install my x39 barrel. (Not gonna happen but the possibilities are there!) I like how they did the receiver too, its a sheet metal shroud over the receiver so it looks nicer. Gives me the idea that maybe i can mock something up like that and dress up one or 10 of my SKS receivers in a similar fashion. The trigger guard is a little bit smaller than my AK trigger guard and would shrink up the gap a little bit between that and the mag release. I'll see what i can fab up without it looking too Frankenstein! I'm thinking bigger mag-release block and original AK trigger guard or slightly larger. (Canadian Winter glove sized? ;D)
