This thread is pure entertainment. I can't believe I only happened on to it only a day ago. Regardless I feel sorry for TI or any other company trying to procure a new firearm for distribution in Canada. Why even bother with such ungrateful whiney customers. Anyone who actually ordered one of these rifles and actually expected a rifle to be manufactured in China and successfully imported to Canada and distributed here within expected timelines down to the day has or had their heads shoved up their collective asses. Hell we can't even get American made firearms across the border in a timely fashion. We can' even get timelines held to from our own Canadian manufactures. TI is and was held to the mercy of the Chinese manufactures and Canada's and China's insufferable import and export laws. Procurement of these types should reasonably be measured in years. To expect otherwise is naive.
As for the short shipping of mag issues. TI is not the only importer who has ever been short shipped. Sheit happens. All they can do is order more mags and sit and wait. The same thing any other importer would do. As for their response for the short shipment, the curtailing of the last group of orders, well it sucks for them but it seems relatively fair.
I have no horse in this race. Nor do I even own a single TI product. However I question why anyone or any importer would go through the trouble of doing a transaction of this type when the CGN members is willing to turn on them in a second because their precious rifle took a day or a week or a few weeks longer to get to its new owner when these types of deals time spans are measured in years and months.
Thanks TI for bringing in a new product into Canada despite the fact I chose not to purchase it. Hopefully the select group on here doesn't sway your future decisions on trying something of this type in the future.
