And no factory optics mounts on these things either.

That means another $100-$200 expense for most shooters.

I think I'll take the wait and see approach with these rifles.
If someone brings in a batch for $800 with a factory optics mount, I'll probably buy one.

You might find .308 but beware, a lot of them have been tempered with to look like 76 shortened barrels etc...not to mention receiver punched for scope mount. Still learning. Met a guy the other day at the range who had a beautiful completely original in 762. So much fun. There was one guy offering one on the EE but never got back to me!

The Hunter came in 223, 308, 30-06 and 243.

Neither was built in x54.

Availability, for one.

Ak mags, while not super common are still more available than Type 81 mags. For now.

Some of us already have them for our SKS-D and would be nice not to have to buy more of a different brand. Its bad enough I have a dozen Vz mags a dozen Ak mags, I dont want to have a dozen Type 81 mags... lol..
