Several dealers do. But the first gen magpul ak mags have a tendency to break off at the mag catch tang. Second gen are metal reinforced and perform better.

Polymer ak mags, without metal reinforcement, aren't ideal.

Yeah I know, but so far they feed the SKS-D 100% reliably. Unlike the factory junkers that came with it. Will see how long they last. I only have a couple hundred rounds thru each of them so far.
I dont use my SKS's that much. The Vz is way too much fun... lol..

If they fit in the 81 I'd likely buy a couple. Still, I'd prefer the matching mags for the gun.

Which is lighter dill?.the Rasheed or 52/57

Both are way more accurate than the SKS :) But the Vz52/57 is way more reliable than the Rasheed. Out of those 5 I would grab the Vz858 since its only 7lbs :)

Well now that I've read 45 pages, I'm hoping TI has pictures of production models of fixed and folding stocks available at time of preorder to know just what we're getting into.

Production models are expected in the 3rd quarter of 2016. So July to Oct ish? Pre order comes down Monday.

Don't see that happening. Unless production is already pumping out completed guns for TI in China.

Very valid point!
Im just wondering if sidefolder will give my big head an acceptable cheekweld. I had the wire folder on one of my vz's and it was terrible, though the sidefolder on this looks a little more shooter friendly.

Any guesses on what finish this version has?

Note, these are the Emei Firearms versions posted on their website. Not the Polytech / Tactical Imports version.

Emei calls the fixed stock they have the "T81SA" and call the folder "T81-1SA"

Looks all parked except for gas tube and magazine.

These photos were taken in 2011, of "prototype" models as the TI shills have it named right now.

Who really knows what the ones will be made will come finished as. It's clear Norinco doesn't give a #### about continuity in a guns finish. I wouldn't be holding my breath for either a parkerized or blued model until we have them on hand. Could be a hodge podge of both if they've made some of the parts a few years back and slap them on new rifles destined for Canada.

Most current photos are from the Toronto Sportsmans show held these last couple of days. Of a gun that is serialized to show a 2011 build date. That gun has been tossed around the RCMP lab for 5 years.

And it isn't Norinco. It's Poly Tech. All these opinions and people can't even take the time to pay attention to details like the proper make of the gun. Very insightful to how informed ones opinion really is.

Don't like the term prototype? Fine. Test sample.

Shills indeed.

There's no point in being a corrective nazi regarding these things. Norinco and Poly Tech are just two marketing companies of state owned weapons factories. Neither of them actually "make" anything. People have been using them interchangeably for years describing chicom export guns, and will continue to do so.

Well if someone does something wrong long enough I guess it becomes right.

So far you've used the terms nazi and shill to counter anyone who actually likes the prospect of this gun coming to market. Good arguement. Bravo.

Factory has Canadian-bound T81 exclusivity to Poly. Poly has T81 exclusivity to us to and only us.

Approved T81 version was developed in-house with Canadian-specific proprietary information that was not shared with any third party. Promises of Norinco/Dominion Arms T81's are vapourware.

Well I imagine that would be news to Norinco and CanAm who have confirmed pricing and delivery dates... Frankly, I'm considering the source (you).

And I love how you trust the Chinese to obey intellectual property laws. That was grand. I almost spit Pepsi all over my monitor.

So then go on a life-long mission of correcting people and sharing the news that THIS company is actually owner of Norinco and Poly Tech. SASAC just created both of them to bring in fictional competition between the two companies, as to probably limit what certain products come out of the weapons factories they control. Smart but pretty shallow.

Ya. Total surprise. Norinco and Polytech still operate seperately from each other to create artificial competiton in communist China by working with the various state arsenals.

I get it.

They have one oversight agency. Sweet.

Just like Crown Corporations are owned by the government, but still can be in competition with each other.

Just because a gun has been laser engraved "polytech" does not mean they made it. They make nothing. They distribute guns - no more, no less. Norinco is another distributor with access to the same factories as Polytech. They are both state-owned companies, but run by different entities within the chinese government.

Poly Technologies (Chinese: 保利科技有限公司), a subsidiary of China Poly Group Corporation, is the fundraising arm of the People's Liberation Army and is in competition with China North Industries Corporation (Norinco). Norinco is the older of the two companies and was established in 1980 with the approval of the State Council of China. It's revenues go to the communist government's general revenue accounts.
