Droooooooool!!!!! Love Love Love

Yours?

Interesting. You think CanAm or another importer will beat TI and have product in people's hands pre-Q3 16?

Factory has Canadian-bound T81 exclusivity to Poly. Poly has T81 exclusivity to us to and only us.

Approved T81 version was developed in-house with Canadian-specific proprietary information that was not shared with any third party. Promises of Norinco/Dominion Arms T81's are vapourware.

Thank you for this clarification. That is what I thought. :)

Im thinking next picture should line up the guns by dates of manufacture :) . Hopefully the Type 81 doesnt look to much like an SKS and confuse people... lol..

It Won't....and who cares! you know they are two different firearms.
Here's a family shot with the "scary one"

In all honesty if your looking for a cheap surplus semi auto gun in 7.62x39, go buy an SKS. The Type 81 is not for you.

AR-15 example can be compared to Tavor, XCR, Swiss, etc... So I guess I'm just going to start comparing the $599 Norinco AR to the $4000 Tavor. Seems fair to me.

I'm not! I was looking for a nice 7.62x39 and I ended up choosing the 858. My point is the Type 81 is an unknown quantity at the moment, so it will have to prove why it's better (maybe more accurate, ergonomics, accessories, removable mags, fit and finish etc.) than other combloc rifles.

Is that Tavor seven times better than the Norinco AR15? Maybe, maybe not. Depends on your point of view, budget, etc. Same issue here.

Anyway, I'm a pacifist at heart :) so I don't like to piss people off, I'll bow out of this discussion.

I will just add a thank you to TI for importing these, any time a vendor takes a risk to bring us a new product it should be recognized and appreciated!

Oh I completely agree with you. Everyone has different criteria. Some will love it, other not so much. We will see how this turns out :)

^^^^^what he said!!! At least someone is trying by spending the $$$ to bring new selection and please us. So TI, thank you :d :canadaFlag:

So why is there an Emei website with pictures of a semi auto Type 81? It's been up for at least a couple of years now and Emei (Factory 26) has an import partner here in canada. Being NS.

I don't doubt you have exclusivity with Polytech. But Polytech and Norinco do compete with each other even in commie China. As does Emei.

At least that is what I've read of why they have two such entities.
