Yup same poor quality parkerized finish as the FN C1, M14, 870P, C7A2, FN MAG58, M60, BHP, M2 50cal, M1 Garand.... LMAO you guys are killing me LOL!!! If you put oil on it, the finish will look smooth and dark like every other parkerized gun in the world.

How could a human being with any sort of conceivable good taste in firearms prefer THIS FINISH:

OVER THIS : ?!?

True, I've been looking. My rifle (SKS-KD) is also supposed to take AK mags and, so far, the PMAGs do not fit.
I've spoken with the manufacturer about this. They said they'd look into it.

I could be wrong, but I think the lack of availability of AK mags and good pricing is due to the current lack of demand due to the few rifles in Canada that use them. Everything I've read in U.S. Forums leads me to believe that AK mags are plentiful and cheap there, so I imagine greater demand would likely bring more competitive pricing and availability.

Well PMAGS aren't true AK mags are they?
And AK mags are really easy to order. 5rounders that run very nice in a SKS-D, just not form a site sponsor. Under $50 for two I believe...

Some of us actually beat the ch!t out of our guns and blueing will be scratched within the first range trip.

The blueing job looks great for guys that take pictures but dont actually use their guns like they are intended. FFS that AK is so pretty there isn't even a mark from moving the safety... lol...

I will probably Krylon mine and drag it behind my truck down a dirt road. For that operator look.... But that picture of the parkerized doesn't have oil on it either. Once you apply oil it looks pretty good.

Pretty sure they use their guns more than you do, and far beyond their actual intended use. They look pretty functional and badass. Also, pretty interesting how there aren't any parkerized guns in Africa?

What is everyone complaining about and picking at each other for exactly? There are Type 81's coming. They will be non-restricted and really not that expensive considering what many of our semi auto's go for now. They are going to be of nicer quality than the test sample. They are going to be chrome lined. You can choose between folder or fixed and later on, even an LMG version. They are bringing in Drum Mags as well.

This is a new military style Semi automatic, available almost nowhere. Again What the phuck is everyone's problem? Be happy.

And thank you Tactical Imports for getting this ball rolling.

Precisely.

I drag my SKS through the bush all the time hunting, bluing holds up fine. Yet my numerous parkerized shotguns and CSA VZ show significant wear, the parkerizing looks like chit when you get it, and still looks like chit when its all scuffed up! you put oil on it to make it look darker, but that eventually disappears in the hot sun or collects dust and crap, making the parkerizing look all dried up and like chit again lol

Besides, most people like the way Russian guns wear the "distressed blue" look ;)

you dont see people posting pictures of their worn out parkerized guns.......
