I lost 20K on my truck after 4 years of owning it. I dont get mad. same goes for guns, you lose money in some cases. and in other you make some serious coin ;) it all works out in the end.

Lucky for us its just small amounts. Heck I blow 2-300$ of ammo in 1 day at the range... lol.. So what if CanAm will have them 200$ cheaper in a year. I rather enjoy it now while I can.

Tomorrow is never promised.

Funny how the Russians blued their ak47, but parkerized their akm and ak74 rifles.

The ak47 was a milled steel thing of beauty that was too expensive to mass produce once the AKM was developed. Once you go "full retard" by stamping the thing out of recycled bottle caps, you might as well apply a mass production finish over sandblasting. Such as parkerizing.

Both hold up well enough imho, though on a service rifle I liked Suncorite for practical reasons. It was the cerakote of its day!

Some needs to call the head of NATO and let them know blueing is better than the standard parkerizing their using on their guns :p

I drag my SKS through the bush all the time hunting, bluing holds up fine. Yet my numerous parkerized shotguns and CSA VZ show significant wear, the parkerizing looks like chit when you get it, and still looks like chit when its all scuffed up! you put oil on it to make it look darker, but that eventually disappears in the hot sun or collects dust and crap, making the parkerizing look all dried up and like chit again lol

If you bake heavy grease into Parkerizing it actually stays put and stands up a lot better to scuffing. The red gear grease I use turns a Parkerized gun to Darth Vader black and needs to reapplied maybe once every couple of years despite being ran hard.

I love both the park + the blue....actually love the battle worn look the most. Here is my 3 cents of an opinion. Lol

Anyways....I think it's all personal preferences guys.
Do you buy a firearms/gun to impress someone else or for your own pure personal enjoyment?
If a person wants to buy a fixed, a folder in park and in blue (if they came that way! and they won't be) because he wants all 4 of styles and can afford it, then be it.

If your unsure then wait for the second run and see what the first buyers have to say and maybe even get to try one :)

I not a fan of this pre order crap myself unless no money is needed to do so. I like how Wolverine does things, when the guns are here we will sell them. If your not on the ball when they arrive, you loose out. Pre ordering something and not even knowing what the end product will be is just plain silly to me. Not knowing the finish, what the side folder looks like, can AK mags be made to work, how much T81 mags will cost, ect. I will be passing on it for now.

This is my fake SKS-D/AK ;)

The total cost of this one was about $700-$750 with improved sights and 18.5" barrel.
Vz58/858 are about $1k now I believe so $900-$1000 for the Type 81 that takes AK mags ain't a bad deal I think gents..
