How do you know about how much better the quality is if you haven't held a Type 81 or fired it ? Just curious.

Yes the Vz52/57 is the nicest of the X39 guns but I will pass judment once I have my Type 81 and shot 2-300 rounds.

And 1000$ is overpriced for a 52/57

You clearly don't have a clue what you're talking about. Sorry man. Norinco has been making millions of T81's for their own army, we're just getting some slapped together semi auto one for our civilian market, that's all.

If you people pay $1000 for this thing, you deserve to get undercut by CanAm or Marstar when they get their stock.

You can have your opinion and I can have mine

Hahahaha yeah ok dude.
Plus your judging that by some pics let alone holding it in your hands in front of your face. :eyeroll:

" A pictures worth a thousand words " ... so those pictures are screaming to me, TERRIBLE FINISH! over and over again a thousand times lol

hopefully Norinco makes a blued batch, I and many others would pay extra. Hint hint, Tactical Imports

Those ####ty pics compared to me being able to actually hold it

Sure whatever will help you in your decision on getting one or not

Love all these naysayers, means more spare mags for me ;-)

If you've ever seen an original Type 81 in person you could clearly see how atrocious the workmanship on this rifle is. 1000$ for this and AK mags don't fit? I'll pass.

Alex C from TFB did a nice video on a rare 5.56 type 81 http ://youtu.be/8c09qZWYQd4 great video, makes me definitely lean towards the folder for sure. Great rifle though, hope I get enough tips from bartending tonight to put down a preorder Monday!

I'm going to listen to this guy...

I've been around here long enough to know some of the goodies found in your safe...if you say it's a solid build, then you've got my attention.

As for the finish, it's functional, common theme in military rifles. To be honest I'm a little disappointed in the surface finish on some of the components...common theme in military rifles, I can live with it. What counts is how it shoots, and most of the moving bits are well tested.

:d As for the inflated price, I don't think it's over the top, steep, perhaps, but not excessive...look and see what you can get in a similar price range that NR, it's pretty sparse, and most of it really is crap, not a slim chance that it might be.

I've never seen one but I've seen lots of AKs, and this looks par for the course for most of them, the perceived fit and finish is typically "wartime" level at best.

For now its not restricted !
My personnal experience with a CZ858 learn me one thing : the status of a firearm can change very quickly !
And now with the Turdeau gouvernment...

You mean the Trudeau government that just gave up its ability under C42 to over rule the labs rulings?

That power was great with a pro gun cpc government, but with an anti gun liberal government they could have done terrible things with that ability.
