The fact that you got your folder before most of us got our fixed throws a serious amount of doubt into TI's statement regarding how the container was organized and shipped to them. Now you admit they told you to basically be quiet about it? So here we are, one folder floating on top a sea of fixed stocked versions with a limited amount of mags left. Not one shipping notice (on this forum) for folders, guys with multiple fixed/folding orders with no shipping notice, and limited explanations from the vendor. Some guys are complaining about the service, can you blame them?


edit to add; I have received my fixed with 8 mags, but I am sympathetic to those questioning this whole situation.

so I got the type 81 to the range briefly...no paper just plates at 25 yards, sights hit 12" at 25 no problem out of the box...when I have more than 30 minutes of range time I will bring my sight tool and zero it and shoot for groups...I just had to get it out and sling some lead to relieve my type 81 gun boner.

Things I found: trigger is pretty darn good for a military service rifle of its vintage (yes it's new, but based on 40 year old design). the action is very smooth, and it's a nice shooter. not much for recoil, less than an SKS I feel, though I'd have to shoot them side by side to be sure, but it sure feels softer, and smoother...like the bolt carrier isn't smashing into the back of the receiver...smashing the empty mag out with the new mag, AK style, works well, and is very fun... :)

I didn't even order one and one showed up at my door like 2 days ago :D lol

Joking aside now, has anyone who has received theirs done any heavy shooting with them? Reliability reports?

Hope you get all your rifles, I ordered two got one and no explanation or even apology as to why I only got one. Not to mention the mags I purchased that were replaced by a back order letter. Refund can aid up tot twelve days I guess they have to sell more preorders to finance my refund. The term clowns comes to mind.

Hold up, you bought 2 (fixed or fixed & folding etc..) rifles!?!?!

That is some pretty ####ed up #### right there
