25 cold rounds put through her today, function was perfect again with the modified pmag other than no more bolt hold open.
That puts it at 95 rounds I believe and so far with only one failure early on where the bolt rode over the cartridge, it was easily cleared and hasn't happened again since.
I find the modified sights to be much easier to use and I was able to center my front post again, the group is centered about 3 inches high at 50 yards with the sight set to 100.
Hopefully I'll get a little time to shoot again tomorrow, I'll put up a fresh target and see if I can print a better group. Today I just rang the steel at 25 and 50 yards after adjusting the sight.

ergonomics are poor for a full sized person. Pistol grip is small, butt stock short and cheek weld ends up above sight axis. Rifle feels light especially in back end but is reasonably well balanced

Sights are poor - short radius and don't get the bar across the top

safety is poorly shaped and has sharp edges, bolt handle is a bit small, sight adjustment has sharp edges and is too small, trigger long and creepy, mag release small and difficult to operate

finish is what you would expect for a cheap Chinese rifle i.e. poor and not up to standards we would expect in North America. Whole rifle feels cheap and tinny.

Love the AK look but initial impressions are not that this is $1100 worth. Compared to a SKS you are not getting a lot of value for your money.

Still kudos to TI for bringing this into Canada

I'm about 95% in agreement with this...
It looks cool, but what the hell am I going to do better with this then I can with my Russian SKS's.

Absolutely nothing,it’s just personal preference.more options are always a good thing.

Plus if you have any American buddies that are gun guys,they’ll be super jealous...mine are at least haha
 
What does the gas position mean?

The manual states that after reassembly the gas plug shall be rotated to position 1. Unfortunately the only online manual found seems to be missing the final page or "figures" but the figure supplied by dagobert seems fairly self explanatory. 0 for lanching grenades or manual mode. Does beg the question, has anyone shot groups in 0 manual mode aka more precision.

Put 50 rnds through it this morning. No problems with function at all. Here’s a target pic. Fifty yards, standing, Ten shots. Adjusted front sight cuz it was shooting low. Then 5 more.
Then blew through several more mags for fun! I’m really liking this rifle, and as I mentioned before, I really like the rear sight. I’m not gonna be target shooting with this rifle anyway. Just a fun blaster for me.

So far my only problem with the rifle is the damn receiver cover! Getting it off- no problem. Putting it back on for some reason takes me like 10 minutes, lol.
 
For those that have their rifle... and well i wait... can you just hold your rifle... rub your hands on it... give it a kiss... and tell me... does it have that new gun smell?
