Type 81 Owners Corner !

No, I just fired 100 rounds to get a realistic group. Forgot to take front sight tool.

You did exceptionally well for not adjusting the sights. When I first tried mine I couldn't even hit my target as the thing was shooting real low and lots to the left. Once I figured out where it was hitting I was able to get it dialed in. It seems that most of them are shooting low and left out of the box for some reason.

Accuracy? Bah.
These things are like my Skorpion or Ranch Hand. And that's why I like them.
I have many rifles that are sub moa. These rifles are bullet hoses.
Entertainment comes in many forms.

Mine is nice and straight (less that 0.030 difference from one side to the other, at the end off the barrel sleeve and only 0.004 at the last point on the barrel before the front sight/gas block).

So....., I spent a little time and gave my new T81 Folder a Face-Lift...

1) Removed wood.
2) Stripped with Circa 1850 gel stripper, light sanding.
3) Stained 3 times with Min-wax, Dark Mahogany.
4) Applied 5 coats of BC Tru-Oil ,fine steel wool rub down after each coat.

I Really like how she looks now (the camera makes the stain look lighter than in real life)

All that's left is to find some free time so you can come out to my place and help me ruin my steel plates :)
I'll weld some chain to the back of a couple more I have laying around so we have more to shoot at.

Thanks Fellas!
I also trimmed (and Blued) the rear sight cross bar (as others have done) - MUCH better view, in my opinion.

I cut those ears on each side of the sight down so when I set it to 500m they're flush with the top of the housing.

I know - I have to figure out how to manufacture TIME, that would be the ticket!
