Yup, passing on an incorrect and illegal opinion of the importation of ITAR regulated items as being legal isn't a good way to spend your first day back after a suspension.
Oh well, some people just have to learn the hard way.
On my folder... it looks like the wood on the right side of the lower hand gaurd may be thicker then on the left.. i think and hope... this is know problem.]

Well I finally got to take mine to the range. Function was flawless. Accuracy wasn't great but it could have been this ammo. Only tried one load through it but I was getting anywhere from 4" to 8" groups with it. I just couldn't seem to shoot with any consistency.
I was also only using the Magpul plastic 5/10 AK mag I modded to fit and found it won't latch in with 5 rounds in it unless I held the bolt open. I suppose the rivet is a bit too high in it and it needs a bit more play so that the rounds can compress in a bit and allow the mag to fully latch. With 4 rounds it would snap in on a closed bolt easily.
Overall it was very pleasant to shoot. To me the felt recoil was less than my CZH 2003.
I suspect as more guys shoot these and try loads out, we will all learn what is bullet hose ammo and what might tighten groups a little.
For me, I'm just happy to ring my steel gong at 100m![]()
Yeah I'm not super concerned with accuracy as it's just for fun mostly. I am hoping to take it hunting for coyotes or wild boar at some point though and would like to find a soft point, steel case load that it likes. Unfortunately the selection of such loads around here is very limited and all I could get a hold of was the Hornady 123gr SST stuff. I'll have to order some different brands I guess and try a few more to see if there's any improvement.
For plinking and stuff I'm just going to be shooting cheap corrosive and as long as it goes bang I'll be happy.

I need to try some of the non-corrosive Wolf hollowpoint ammo I've hoarded away. I expect it to do better than the common Chinese surplus that's everywhere right now.
I removed the bottom cover of the magazine, pulled out the spring then reached in with my dremel and a drill bit that cuts on it's sides as well and just removed a small amount of the follower where it hits the rivet until I could insert it with 5 rounds on a closed bolt.
There isn't a whole lot of choice for steel case expanding ammo. Barnaul HP and SP stuff, Hornady, and what else? Can you still get Wolf? Norinco?
I just remembered I have some old Norinco soft point, steel case stuff! Likely 15 years old now. I'll dig it out and try it. It's non-corrosive supposedly. No, I have not seen Wolf imported to Canada in quite a while, but it's possible someone has some(?). It's even scarce in the USA now due to the russian sanctions. Same for the TulaAmmo stuff. There was commercial norinco around a couple months back but haven't seen any recently.
Cabelas has Winchester FMJ stuff I haven't tried yet, brass cased and probably decent. But $25 per box - ouch.
Canadaammo has PRIVI stuff, soft point and FMJ. It's probably good stuff. They also have remanufactured Dominion ammo that I've not tried.
Tradex also has commercial S&B - likely also very good stuff.
Well, got my replacement fixed stock back today. Happy to report, she’s straight and the blueing is much nicer on my new one! The send back had scratches under the blueing but the new one is nice and smooth. Very happy that TI fixed this for me in a timely manner.
