I just run into an issue with someone doing "copy homework but dont make it too obvious" with a clip loader on gp.
There was already someone selling 3d printed mags so i figured not to step on his toes. I guess not everyone is guided by the same principles....
There is a feller on GP that makes and sells em for a 5er plus shipping. He uploaded his design for sale as well.
Search for "Type 81" and it will pop up.
He got there first and priced it too well haha.

HuskyDude gave me most of the info I needed.
I used Circa 1850 paint stripper 3 times and brushed and scraped off the original finish, then sanded very lightly with 220 grit
One coat MinWax Classis Stain, Espresso. Wiped off after 10 minutes. Let dry 24 hours
One light coat Minwax Antique Oil. Buff off after 10 minutes, let dry 24 hours
Two more coats Minwax Antique Oil, buffing and letting dry 24 hours each time
Last coat of Antique Oil applied with Super Fine Steel Wool. Buff off after 10 minutes and let dry.
If you used shellac rather than the Antique Oil you could finish it in one day, just apply as many coats as you want, 30 min to a couple hours between coats.

Machined from 6061-t6 and black anodized. This rail allows for the mounting of small-footprint optics without permanent modifications. Installs easily by removing rear sight leaf and can be reversed easily. Pre-production prototype picture shown. Production scale order in progress and a limited number are available to the CGN community. PM for details - not sure if I can openly advertise for sale here.

Can you still remove the gas piston and cover without removing the base?
I shoot mostly corrosive and want to retain easy gas system maintenance.
In order to close the top cover, just align it with the front and then push a screw driver threw the hole at the rear before you push it down. I actually think that's what the hole is for. Otherwise you need 10 tries to close the rear cover properly. Otherwise all gets mangled up and you can start all over again.
Nice rail, looks like it sits a tad high for an underfolder though haha, whats the price point?

A direct mount T2 pattern would lower it a fair bit and get a better cheekweld.
Not that that’s an option for underfolders anyway though
Looks great! Do you think it would be possible to run a full length, Beryl style rail from a variant of your front site block to the back of the receiver, stabilized by a spring-loaded peg that fits into the rear cleaning rod hole present on the folders, and stablized by short wings that sit against the side of the receiver? If you hinge the rail at the front, could you lift it out of they way to clean the firearm and have an optic retain zero?
So the dark black material on the barrel started peeling off at the range the other day after shooting for a bit. Not sure if this is a concern I should really be worried about? But it seems like the entire protective coating was applied incorrectly. Also attached are the pictures off the crooked/bent stock

I'd be concerned with this weird peeling off on the barrel. I already have about 200 rounds through the pipe, including corrosive, on my folder and the barrel looks immaculate.
With regard to a "bent" folding stock, it's not really bent. When folded, it has some play left-right which is quite normal for steel/wire folding stocks. In order to make the steel stock more comfortable and avoid scratches on the wooden forearm, I wrapped the whole thing in paracord: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/for...pression-shooting-Type-81M-Underfolder-at-25y. It's much more comfortable now for shooting and folding/unfolding.
i agree with 05rav, your barrel dont look good, the phosphate was not applied properly, its peeling off. shouldnt happen no matter how many rounds you fired. you better contact TI.
WRT the underfolder, if it folds and locks then there is nothing wrong with it. bits of scratch and dents cos by the folder itself are normal.
