Type 97 Classification Issues - PART TWO

How does one go about meeting with their MP? Would I just call them and ask to sit down with them? Are they really that willing to talk to a nobody like me?

Call their office and set up an appointment. The receptionist/assistant may suggest a written outline of what you hope to discuss ahead of time in order that the MP be better prepared to discuss your issues, but they should set up an appointment either way. I wrote a letter first, outlining my general concerns and then pointed out specifics when I met with him.

Either way, it is quite desirable to spend the time and develop a written agenda before you meet so that the discussion remains focussed. Writing a letter ahead of time more or less covers that ground for you, so it isn't a waste of effort at all. Simple is good, so edit your program accordingly before the meeting takes place.

And yes they will meet with you ...

The latest development I could find out :
CBSA is about to make or maybe already did a "detailed inventory inspection" of the rifles, where all the serial numbers were written down. I couldn't find out the purpose of it.

I just had a "flash-back" of me holding my new non-restricted Type 97... Ugh, I wish it were true, I checked the gun cabinet to be sure, but its not there...

I'd be over the moon if I had this rifle before my camping trip this summer...

Cheers
Jay

lol I've been building a gun room over the last few days... I'm saving room in my .223 area... It'd be nice to be able to throw it up there soon! :)

Dear CBSA,

My birthday is on Sunday and all I want is to receive my T97 rifle that I ordered almost a year ago, and paid for 5 months ago.

Sincerely,

Mr. Patience
