Type 97 Classification Issues - PART TWO

I can find no ref to 12956, it seems to be gone, the other two are for the full auto and the poly guns. I was interested to see if they had added yet more FRT numbers

FRT numbers which are "gone" are still in existance. They are just not available through the regular online FRT.
The way the system is being operated, for a firearm to be registered or transferred, it must be matched to a FRT number. If there is no available FRT number, the registration or transfer cannot procede.
According to the law, the OIC process is the method which can be used to prohibit a firearm. By controlling availability of FRT numbers, the RCMP can achieve the same end result without having to deal with pesky politicians, or the cumbersome formal process of an OIC. Its an administrative method of circumventing due process under the law. Whether this is being done by the RCMP under its own initiative, or with the tacit approval of the responsible Ministry remains to be seen.

Yes.
But if the FRT numbers for all semi autos, say, were placed under review, pending investigation of ease of conversion........

Deleting FRTs is tantamount to saying, "La la la, I can't hear you!" and is just about as mature. Being passive aggressive is still showing aggression.

And if they did that, it would give us one hell of a headline to show that it's completely useless.

"Three billion dollars for an empty list?"

Say one has done the Mission Impossible. He hacked into the supercomputer....now AK47 is non-restricted. And no surprise, RCMP didn't realize the change for two years.

Now everybody has a AK. What would RCMP do? Jail everyone?

I guarantee you even the most firearms incompetent CFC phone tech knows what an AK-47 is, and regardless if the class was non-restricted, they'd flag it for a supervisor to look it over.

Has anyone tried to contact the CBSA and inquire what the hold up on their end is? I tried to but got lost in a perpetual maze of redundant bureucratic links.
So I ended lookin at #### as usual when I get lost on the interweb

FYI these posts about hacking the registry are counterproductive. Remember big brother and the antis read these forums.

But I thought the registry was unhackable?!?

Wendy says so. So do her minions, the CACP.

Anyways, what's the point of hacking the registry, other than to pull up certs of glue guns and staple guns?

Anyone have anymore t97 news?

I thought it was obvious I was joking. But just in case: *I do not plan or endorse a 'mission impossible' (or any other) style entry of a federal building to alter FRT's. (Although laser sharks are cool! :) )
