Gen4 no question about it! Better grip texture, improved mag release button, I even like the new recoil spring no issues with my G22 or 23.

Gen 4 glock all day everyday. I bought a new gen 4 G22, i've fired the gen 3 22, and the recoil reduction is very noticeable. I also loved the gen 4 17.

Gen 3 due to the fact i can swap the slide out, and put on a AA 22 conversion for the kid. I dont think Gen 4 has that capability.

I love my Gen 4 Glock 17. The grip is aggressive on the skin, but only to the point of causing callouses, and not drawing blood. The mag release is better than was on the Gen 3/3.5. The dual recoil spring is fine, but in 9mm the noticable difference involves spiltting hairs. The adjustable back straps are ok, but I wish they had an extra large.
