Hell, we had a situation at our work site, a few years back.
A truck driver pulled in off the hwy, came running in claiming there was a guy in the back of his rig, had a gun. Crazy story.
The RCMP were called immediately. They did not show for 90 minutes! And we are 20 minutes from town (RCMP station).
It turns out the truck driver was screwed up somehow, drugs? Mental issues, not sure.
But police response!? Not there.
I was victim of a home invasion, I was on phone with police as the door was kicked in (I was working in garage and heard the people outside talking about robbing my place and called) I lived less than 5 min from a large police station. It took the police more than 15 min to arrive according to the report (I was knocked unconscious with brass knuckles)
Response time is a joke when it's seconds that matter, luckily my family was not home.
