I was victim of a home invasion, I was on phone with police as the door was kicked in (I was working in garage and heard the people outside talking about robbing my place and called) I lived less than 5 min from a large police station. It took the police more than 15 min to arrive according to the report (I was knocked unconscious with brass knuckles)

Response time is a joke when it's seconds that matter, luckily my family was not home.

Yes that sucks. Response time is a joke.

Today I called the RCMP about horses roaming on the highway. I say that was a 20min response. Lucky it was a slow day for the gravel/logging trucks.
 
a friend of mine had some dirt bikers rip up his fresh sowed field one spring. He called the cops, and got lucky. They tracked the bikes to a house down the road. Charges were laid, and the court ordered payment for the crop. Cost them several thousand dollars. Are they brighter today? Doubt it, but they'll likely stay clear of that field.
 
Out here we have a lot of pissed off farmers! RCMP are at least slow if at all to show. Many are now armed as these bastards are trying to enter all the shops and even some homes. Protect yourself!

Should have said you were afraid for your life and were getting your gun out. i bet they would have been there in seconds. To arrest you, of course.

Just have added more insult to injury. I was the one arrested and the 3 people who broke in walked away from the scene. In those 15 min they concocted a story and got it straight between them so it was my word against theirs.

I had to go to the crown to lay information directly to get the individuals charged, the police officer in the case was protecting the people who broke in.

It makes it very hard to trust police when they can get something so simple, so wrong

do you have a no trespassing lwa in MB? As of next year in SK one cannot hunt even if land is not posted.
