Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

I am sure anyone working in the cfo office is just as frustrated with this whole situation. Asking if they are considering batch processing etc or why they are not doing that. Hope people are rational and ask reasonable questions, not going off of some anti Trudeau rant, that will just turn everyone off.

I do understand that it is out of their hands, and that they are doing the best that they can with what little resources they have. I will however ask them about batch processing and hiring more staff. I think that if enough of us ask for it (in a polite way), then that person can go back to their office with feedback. Then maybe it will be considered

all the cfo offices except alberta and sask are federal they answer directly to marco mendicino alberta and sask are provincial and don't it makes a difference in how things work provincial have more control but need the operating money from the province the others are federal so they are funded by marco and with that comes final say vito power etc he makes the final decision on everything I think he has already shown where he stands

Another situation I just thought about is what happens to the gun sale that is valid now to a rpal holder but once C21 is passed they no longer qualify. What does the biz do then. The gun sits in limbo. Cannot be sold and cannot be returned to distribute r due to import / export bans.

you have to wonder if the CFO's are worried about their jobs as they are soon to be out of work

I have a friend who ordered then, his transfer number is about June 6th... Tenda was really slow in initiating a lot of transfers.

This. There is potential for huge problems.

tenda has posts in other strings talking about having all staff on deck entering transfers after a backlog system down or something they posted often during that time keeping customers informed I think it went on about 3 days I remember thinking how odd it was at the time when people really wanted there orders in fast so there will be a big chunk of time where ontario will only process tenda transfers

as for the CFO at TACCOM, i believe they are there for the gun purchases being made at the show...not sure how good of an idea it is to start harassing them

RL

Not sure how I feel about this.

Every special interest group that got what they wanted got it by being loud, causing problems and generally getting in the faces of officials.

They didn't get it by saying please and thank you.

The anti gunners seem to have put up more of a fight than pro gunners

The Ontario CFO is provincial, administered by the OPP.

The CFO staff didn't ask for this and ranting at them won't help a bit. Meet with your MPP, explain the situation and make positive recommendations. Mine had no idea the depth of the problem but said he would follow up. Send a message to Ford's office too.

I was informed by 2 separate ontario business owner that in province approvals were being completed for June 2nd dated applications. (this was Sept 1st I heard this). So Ontario is 3 month + lag in approvals..

I would suggest along than Fords office sending letters to the Solicitor General office (Michael Kerzner MPP York Centre) They are lead on the OPP who run the CFO office. Also add in OPP commissioner Thomas Carrique as well.

I really think if the businesses were doing a campaign also it would be far more effective than regular folk. They truly have a lot to lose if this goes sideways and all transfers are halted by oic

The anti gunners arent winning because they put up more of a fight..they are winning because they are aligned with the govt's civil disarmament agenda (Cukier even gets govt funding...our taxpayer dollar to fight against us). so we are fighting an uphill battle.

Government does things to 1) get votes 2) look good (in their perception). They know the majority of gun owners vote conservative and can you imagine them saying "after we decided to freeze the transfer of handguns and put out the narrative that this will make you safer, we decided to spend your taxpayer dollars and hire more CFO staff to get guns into people's hands faster"

Seriously, can you fathom this? Or in any other scenario like "we decided to ban abortions but first, we will invest in more abortion clinics to process the outstanding ones"...can you imagine that?

this isnt rocket science...we went from 55,000 handgun transfers in a typical year, so a run rate of 55,000/12=4583 per month to 125,000 in one month, or a 125,000/4583=27 fold increase.

if this were the private sector, what company would put extra resources to deal with a 27 fold increase into a line they were shutting down with customers they no longer want to serve?

the solution is new management...or in this case a new govt.

CFOs are provincial. Not federal. In Ontario, it is the ford conservatives giving us crappy service. Not the turd.

It's disappointing, really. For all his faults, Ford is in many ways standing up to the Federal libs. I suspect this is a case of the bureaucracy not doing it's utmost to support the Ford political agenda.

In Onterrible, in particular, the public service sr management ranks are stacked with bilingual, urban-dwelling McGuinty era liberal faithful.

This is the reason why I ordered on May 31, and I am still waiting for it.

Easy there Colombo, long weekend here and there’s no transfers being done in the last 3 days and none today either. Lots of bandwidth available until the transfers start trickling in tomorrow. !!! :sok2
