Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

I still have a pending transfer initiated on March 19 that has not been completed as of today. Was yours a purchase from a store? When I called today I was told that retail business initiated transfers take priority over personal transfers, and the flood of recent gun store purchases in Ontario is also a factor in this prolonged waiting. Apparently in Ontario there are only a couple of people working on these transfers whenever they are able, with a several thousand backlog that is growing each day.

Which is absolutely the reason to complain to the Ontario Ombudsman’s office. Takes 5 mins doing an online form.

They just got back to me again and said they are receiving many complaints like mine. Asked for my consent if they decide to contact the government about the issue.

I already wrote to my MP and their office got back to me today with a request for authorizathion to contact the Ontario CFO office on my behalf, which I gladly consented. I will file a complaint to the Ombudsman as well. Thanks.

Unfortunately my MP is Liberal party member Ryan Turnbull. He is no friend to the gun community. He is more likely to send chocolate and flowers to the girls in Orillia for taking so long to do transfers.

Unfortunately, those are the people f-ing with us.
Imagine writing to her about my transfer wait..."Sir why do you need a restricted firearm?", "go buy a NR rifle and you don't have to wait at all"
