The same thing happened to me two weeks ago, from a different store, except it took three days. It goes to show that the organizational system they use is a random distribution roulette to the next available representative. Some get extremely lucky, and some have to wait a longgg time.

Things may start getting interesting due to queens death
Protocol dictates that parliament will reconvene.

“The House of Commons is currently adjourned for the summer and it is not scheduled to reconvene until Sept. 19. However, protocol states the prime minister should reconvene Parliament and move a joint address of loyalty and sympathy, and any message of condolence. The prime minister will also arrange for the motions to be seconded by the Leader of the Opposition.”
1. Does reconvening parliament move up C21?
2. Who is opposition leader as of it reopening. May be the first big move for PP and an indication of where we will eventually go.

Depends if the seller trusts you.
They'll probably reconvene for an emergency session just to pass the commemoration notice, and if anything they'll probably then extend the break for the entire official mourning period.
Lucky indeed. I have two other transfers initiated a ~month before this one. Both ON - ON private and nothing but crickets there. Certainly seems to be done at random as others have suggested. I was under the impression that the buyers cfo handles the transfer but maybe I’m incorrect and that would explain why this one processed first? Maybe there’s something else I'm missing, or maybe it really is just completely random

Hope my 5900### is tomorrow or early next week
It's definitely allowable in law and practise, but would rely on the seller trusting you would not misuse it, or abuse the gun in case the transfer is ultimately not approved.
