Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

snuck 2 in last night, sadly they were among the last Ref numbers generated. A sad day, gents.

For the chart: Oct.20 ON to ON
Ref#: 60546XX

So what is the total number of transfers initiated since Goofdeau made the announcement...somehwere around 160,000?

Damn, almost 2 years in 4 and a half months ?
Guess I better start saving for those 2023~2024 handgun purchases once this clown is out

Transfers open until the end of business today, just transferred the last of mine to my daughter.
Going to be a busy day at the CFP and CFO offices. No transfer approvals will likely be processed today. Watch for the fire sales!
I think I have everything that i will want now so will leave whats left to those who need more

This site says different https://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/cnt/cntrng-crm/frrms/c21-en.aspx#s1 I too received a transfer number today but this wording says it will not be processed. So which is it?

National "freeze" on handguns
A national freeze on the sale, purchase or transfer of handguns by individuals within Canada, and bringing newly-acquired handguns into Canada came into force by regulations on October 21, 2022.

Individuals can continue to possess and use their registered handguns and can sell or transfer their registered handguns to exempted individuals or businesses. Requests submitted by individuals before October 21, 2022 to transfer a handgun within Canada will continue to be processed.

cbc story has this wording which says we can still buy and sell to those with an ATT

According to the government, exempted individuals include anyone who already holds an authorization to carry handguns — which requires permission from the Canadian Firearms Program of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police — and people who train, compete or coach in a handgun shooting discipline that is a program of the International Olympic Committee or the International Paralympic Committee.

Do you know what an ATC is?

Would be nice to figure out who got the last transfer in the pipe before today's bs freeze.

Gotta be someone from BC OR someone who spoofed a BC number so they could call in last night?

Has anyone had a transfer processed today? Confirmation that existing transfers are still going through would be a sigh of relief....if not time to contact some companys or possibly my credit card company...
