Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

Good advice. Probably what would have happened, Gindryden, is that you would have gotten the reg cert in the mail a couple of weeks later and realized that it had been approved.


Another thing guys can do, if the day has passed that you figure your transfer should have been processed... Sign into the RCMP individual web services, and go into the section where you apply for a short term ATT to a gun show, whatever - you're not going to go all the way through to getting the ATT, so it doesn't matter. You will end up on a page where you can select the firearm(s) you want the ATT for. It will list every restricted/prohibited gun that you have (but not ARs that were "nullified"). If the new gun shows up in the list, it means that it has been processed and approved but they messed up emailing you. If the gun isn't on your list, then it hasn't been processed/approved yet.

lol have had same experience. None have come sooner than expected and all seem to be late. Prob just luck of the draw
 
Numbers are jumping around... a couple of 60046XX's and a 60049XX, and then Eric24282 gets a 600002XX that should have been done days ago.

If I had to guess, it looks like individual officers at the CFO office are getting assigned blocks of transfers, and some are processing them quicker than others (due to efficiency, or time off).
 
Not sure if this helps but I'm actually waiting on a 60081xx with Aug 19 for the initiation date (according to what the dealer told me). I will reply to this once my approval comes through, confirming that the initiation date was in fact the 19th :)
