Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

Man this is frustrating. Seeing 6009###s gong through but my 60059xx still not put through. Nothing on the iws either. Tried phoning today but that only succeeded in wasting some time

I'm in the same boat. Based on the transfer approvals reported here, things seem to progress in an orderly manner at the CFO for days, and then it suddenly goes haywire with a bunch of transfers seemingly skipped. If I had to guess I would say that transfers are handed to individual officers at the CFO in "stacks", and maybe yours was in a "pile" with all the 6005###'s. Then your CFO guy decides to take a few days off and you end up not getting your transfer approved when it should, while other guys are getting theirs. It's like if 2 guys went to the grocery store at the same time, and finished shopping at the same time. They pick 2 different checkout lanes, and guaranteed one of them is gonna be still waiting in the slowest lane watching the other guy head to the parking lot. It looks like we ended up in the slow lane!

Right there with you, waiting on 60056XX from Aug. 17th (B to P). Hopefully sometime this week lol.

The guy with our stack must have taken the weekend off to spend some of that OT he's been making, spent it well, and couldn't make it back to work today.

I'm in no real hurry (I have others to play with), just looking forward to having the last ones all safely tucked away at home.
 
Ya....got mine way earlier than expected.

# 60098XX initiated Aug 23rd,,,,,,Received on the 5th around 8pm!!!!.... weird.

Same boat actually. No indoor range and has been too cold to go shooting in comfort. I have 2 left to come including this one and a Tisas Duty 1911 45acp (602###x) that I am really looking forward to and will prob be the first of next month. Just want to get them here in my own paws before socks decides to make us safe again.

Initiated Aug 19th, saw it online registered on my name on Saturday night ,received the confirmation email today morning , Tuesday
I thought it won't come and have to wait for the certificate in the mail.
One more for me , fingers crossed ��
 
Aug21-Feb5 60070xx Ontario B-P, got the confirmation earlier. It seems like they are working over the weekends as 5th is a Sunday.

Sorry folks for asking this here, I don't use forums much so they get kinda confusing. But heres my question. I got transfer approval by email on the 5th. In the "Model" box is says 17 gen4. But I bought, what I assumed based on the description on the retailer site it was a 17 Gen 3. Serial # is the same.

Who do I call to get this sorted? Does it matter? (I assume it would) Does the retailer reach out to the cfo to fix the error or do I?

Any help would be appreciated with these questions as well as directing me to the correct forum page to ask

Does the g17 you have, have finger grooves and changeable back straps on the grip?

I emailed the team at Prophet River and they said it's not an issue but will contact the registry on my behalf to fix it.

And they sent that response literally within a minute of me sending it. Absolutely amazing! The customer service there is exemplary.
 
Problem is I don't think he's actually got the gun in his hand yet - he's just going by pics / description on the website when he bought it.

Correct, I just got my transfer paper work on Sat and I wanted to make sure all the ducks were in a row before it shipped. Wasn't sure if the typo would be an issue

That being said we are getting lots of 6009### from the 23rd as well. I'll post the highest one I see today at the end of the business day.
