Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

I (Ontario) bought a gun from a store in Quebec. I started the process on Dec 29th. It got approved on Jan 17; but they did not send the emails out. I phoned them today and they re-sent them. In Dec 2020, I sold a gun private-private in Ontario, it took about 3 weeks, but again the emails did not get sent out. (they are not getting caught by my spam filter, I have checked, and the email that was sent when I called came while I was on the phone.)
 
Ordered from FOC on Dec 29, shipped notification today Jan 18. Not sure when the transfer was started but seems about right for ON to ON for the most part right now.
 
did one today, she said 5-10 business days. The gentleman I bought from said his last one was just over 2 weeks.... time will tell.
 
bought from a BC dealer ..they got approval in less than 24 hours....here in Ontario its unbelievable how horrible the wait is, anything and everything becomes an excuse for their delays
 
Ordered from ON and approved next day by BC CFO. UPS takes 14 days to drive across Canada! I assume they drive a Lada...yes I really want my new toy.

Ordered from a business (ON) on Dec. 21. Finally called the CFO to see what the hold up was. Apparently it was approved Jan 7. I contacted the vendor and they hadn't yet received the email. It is being cleared up today and shipped asap. I believe this to be an honest mistake. I should have called sooner. Looks like ON is at or under two weeks to approve restricted transfers.

Unfortunately this is happening more and more. Even though I tell them to email me after the transfer is complete sometimes they forget. I have had this happen twice in the past few months. If you have not heard anything after 2 weeks give them a quick call.
