Update On Ontario Restricted Transfer Times

Following the thread with a bunch of late ones :(

June 13 - PtoP - 5932### (Damn CFP phone line)
June 27 - PtoP - 5953###
June 27 - BtoP - 5954###
July 2 - BtoP - 595###X
 
June 10 restricted purchase, Retail (BC) to Private (Ontario). Transfer initiated by dealer on day of purchase, 5930###. I'm fully anticipating at minimum another 4-6 weeks (probably somewhere around mid-end of August) before all of these things happen; the transfer clears, the firearm gets shipped to me, I receive my registration certificate and am finally able to take it to the range.
 
It's a shame that a Leftie owns Amazon, or we could just turn all registration transfers and shipping over to their people, and we'd have the new firearms the next day. Lol
 
I have to initiate a transfer tomorrow in Ontario...Would appreciate a heads up from anyone who did one last week so I know what the expect....Hopefully less than 1,000 attempts to get through @#$&%!
 
I failed on Friday for 3 hours on the phone to finalize transfer. I even hung up once while on hold by accident after 20 mins on hold too! Good luck to us all!

I'm going to try the burner app to call BC. I can't use phone during work.

I did one a little over a week ago and 3 more a week before that and I used 2 cellphones preprogrammed with the following number 1 800 731-4000,1,,,,,,4,2
Got no connection most times and on hold quite a few times and then kicked off. Finally someone answered. The longest was 2 hours and most were an hour and a half.

And Yes....the GTA is absolutely how Trudeau was elected, the GTA has almost always been a Federal Liberal Stronghold

I started a transfer last week as the seller(Ontario) it took me a few dozen calls to get through. After about 30-35 min of being on hold the system kicked me out with a pre-recorded message indicating that they were busy. This happened a couple of times until I was able to speak to a representative. The entire process of calls and being placed on hold took about 1.5 to 2 hours. The Ontario buyer called in last Tuesday and was able to get through quite quickly to complete the transfer. The representative told me that it would take approximately 8 weeks for the transfer to be approved.
