UPDATE: Rossi Ranch Hand Mares Leg

Possible Scenario:
I'm shooting my Rossi Ranch Hand (which is always the centre of attention) at the public range when the local RCMP shows up. He's having a bad day and decides to take it out on me. (Side Note: Recent article in the Calgary Sun concerning illegal harvesting of gun owner information by some law inforcement agencies shows a GROSS IGNORANCE of current laws by senior law enforcement officials) Said officer starts to question the legality of me possessing a "sawed off" rifle, never mind flaunting it in public. I comment to said officer that the gun in question is absolutely legal and that I have the current registration in my gun case so that said officer can become more educated on this particular firearm. Said officer inspects gun registration and hopefully the case (pun intended) is closed.
 
For the guys fitting full but stock.
If your stock is not fitting up like a glove at the resever use a bit of glass bedding to fill the gaps.
I will soon send the Ranch Hand to Rusty Wood Trading to have a action work dun and scout mount put on it yaahoo soon to have my SBR finly!

I just got mine. I don't have a certificate. I guess I would just have to tell them that it was manufactured at that barrel length and requires two hands to operate. And it was deemed non restricted.

Im not going to pack the certicate for my mare's leg's arond with me

Here is an idea.

(First ... I have to ask ... are you using one of those speech-to-text computer programs? Your spelling is totally spooky ... but please don't be offended by my comment/curiousity ... you seem to be a New Canadian working really hard in a new place ... and to be doing just fine :)

If you want, I will send / email to you a scanned copy of MY Ranch Hand registration certificate (with ... naturally ... a bit of my personal stuff missing/whited-out) ... and that might help.

I no longer have the gun ... I traded it to a PAL holder to pay-off a "gambling-debt" ... but I still have the original paperwork.

Just wanting to help, and cover my ass ... at the same time :)

A real email address or a real Canada Post address would compromise our anonymity ... but I'm sure that there's a way ...

My famly has bin here over 10,000 years I hate imigrant that come here and expet me to be like them .
I dont need a registration we got rid of that pice of paper

It is okay
Guys like me are not good at spelling
Spent my life working and playing in the bush or on the sea .
dont have to spell when your trapping or working in a bush camp
Plus Gary asked me to give a full review on the mares leg as a status Indian who hunts a lot and my expience working in the bush.
I can give the mare's leg a real work out and see if a mares leg is a practical rifle for hunting or bear defense wich I believe it can be

all you need is the frt number .... nothing else .

if a police officer gives you grief , give him the frt number and tell him to phone it in if he is that concerned .

if he continues to give you grief , get his full name and take notes of the day and time , and what he EXaCTLY said and any witnesses to what he said .... and make sure he see's you taking notes .

if you really want to up the ante , get any witnesses to write down what they heard him say , and sign off on it with the date and time .


thank fully , for myself , it has been a long time that i have run into a arrogant know it all cop ..... all the police officers i have been running into have been extreemly kind , friendly and helpfull .... i sincerly hope that this is becoming the norm with them .

I never started a thing but going off subjet is just not right
my salf i like reading about other experiences with thers mare's leg and shood be able to post my experience with the mare's lag just like every one on gunnutz and it shood stay on topic
I think no one likes thes threads when thay start getting ugly and go off topic if it is im going to quit gunnutz .

What is the FRT # for these?, would be handy to have. If its here somewhere
