Allright folks, heres a bit of an update on the belt/holster situation. I've almost finished the first belt for driller212 and am awaiting a carbine version of the mares leg from Foxer to start making patterns. drillers belt was a prototype, others will differ slightly, mainly in how the bullet loops attach and possibly how the buckle end of the belt is finished.
This is an oil based finish which, in my opinion, will offer the best protection for the leather as well as last the longest. I can also offer a dark brown, black, and a tan colour in the oil based stain. The buckle is an antiqued brass one, although I can provide others from just a little more to some real nice, but expensive ones, too. The cartridges shown are .38 spl., .357 mag., and .45 colt; I'll make all belts for specific calibers. With the belts, or holster, all edges will be given a bevel and edge treatment to finish.
Now for the prices.
1) $100-Basic belt, oil finished, with buckle shown. Either no tooling or with just a trim line all around.
2) Belt loops in your caliber -$25
3) Tooling, same pattern or a similar pattern -$25
4)Pig skin suede lining -$25
The holsters will be double thickness, oil finished, and have all edges beveled and finished. I will be offering tooling as well but have not worked out the prices as of yet. I am looking to have some sort of pivot in the holster so that the wearer will have unimpeded motion when bending or squating down. As well, I will offer a pig skin suede lining, pricing to follow later.
If you have any specific designs of buckles or even themes you would like to have, please feel free to ask. I will work with all CGN members to make sure they get exactly what they want. As I have said before, I am not a proffesional and am not looking to retire from these belts/holsters; this is a hobby and I just really like creating something that will get used and appreciated.
Cheers,
