MRP...
OK, This is really interesting to me. Can you show a picture which shows the clip? If someone could make a solid extender which looked like this, I would pay for it. I bought an aluminium extender which is pretty darn good, but I like the look of this a lot.

Made by Blum get them at most hardware stores for $5. left one on stock, right on extension, (back one junk). 4 kg rating, still looking for something better. If there is please post it. For a mickey mouse experiment Im surprised how well it works.

Hey guys!

Huge ROSSI shipment just waltzed on in the loading doors, and CGN is of course the first to find out!

Click that link to see what we have IN STOCK and ready to ship anywhere in Canada for just $10 flat rate!

Cheers,
Daniel

Did you go .450" or .500"? Also is the rear sight on the lowest notch?
I plan zeroing in for 25m.

I ended up ordering the .570" (Gold Bead) because it was off by so much, I figured I could up it a notch if it were too low.

I've just finished setting up the front sight height on my .357 RH by stoning off the bead portion of a Marble's 538" unit. The 1/16" bead was too big in the sight picture for shooting small targets at 75yds.
The rear Marble's Bulls-Eye sight had to be set at the middle of the riser to get hits on a 2" center. After the mod, I now have a fine blade sight which allows for more precise aiming. The sight now is .500" high & I did this front sight mod to my .45 Ranch Hand an hour ago and will test it out after I get and fit my new butt stock from PGW. I get my sights from Brownells.

Hey everybody:
New RH owner here. I'm currently making my way through this forum (There is a lot of info to take in). Bought mine in 44 mag, used from this site. I have read so much about rough actions and stiff triggers that I was fully expecting mine to need some slicking up. When I received it, the action was super smooth (I have two friends that just bought marlins, one in 30-30 and one in 45-70, the RH was smoother than both of them) and the trigger pull was lighter that any of my other rifles. This is great news I know, but it almost worried me that everything seemed to work so brilliantly. So, I actually sent a message to the guy that sold me the gun asking him if he had done any work to the action. He said "no" and that he wouldn't even know how to take one apart. Maybe I'm worried about nothing. This little gun just performs friggin awesome! (It does shoot high, of course)

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but, I just ordered a stock from Boyd's and they now make stocks specifically for the Rossi. After I placed my order online, I called them to confirm that I was getting the right buttstock and not just some forestock or something. The lady confirmed that it was the buttstock for the Rossi 92. That being said, I haven't actually received it yet, so we'll see....

Anyway, thanks to everyone for all the great info (trials and tribulations/what works and what doesn't). I'm pretty hooked on this little lever gun right now and I'll post here again when I get that "Rossi buttstock"

That is great! Mine has been slick from the start as well, with the best trigger pull out of all of the rifles I own.

Who carries sights up here? Steves guns shipping quote was $25 to ship two tiny sights to Ab.

When I last talked to Steve he told me all he does is order from brownells himself and then tacks on his markup... He told me himself it would be cheaper to get it from Brownells directly for canadians.

Fyi he's an awesome guy to chat with he's one of those instant friends kind of guy. That adds value to his service in my mind. He can talk guns for hours.

Just received my full-length stock from Precision Gun Works in Texas. 7 Days from order to pickup from the Post Office including the weekend for approx $100. It doesn't look like it will require much fitting, and I will have fun finishing my first piece of wood (that's what she said). However, I do find the LOP a bit long for my short arms (I'm 5'3" and missed my chance to get taller/longer about 15 years ago).

My question: Does anyone have a good idea of extending the existing butt-stock in a quick-modular/takedown fashion? Is cutting down the full-length one a sin beyond belief? I only saw one idea on this thread involving a screw-in tube but my machining skills aren't that great nor do I possess the where-with-now to make one, but I do know how to saw off a piece of wood. Anyways, I'm looking for suggestions or a glimmer of hope from my sense of creativity before the saw-blades enter a good piece of sought after Rossi carbine wood.
