Using Small Car For Hunting

I once drove from Whitecourt to Mission with a whitetail in the trunk of an 87 Nissan Sentra. Fuel pump broke but it was carbureted so we punched a hole in the hood and rigged up a water bottle as a gravity feed fuel tank.

I had a Sentra sedan. I put the field-dressed deer sitting up in the front passenger seat with the seat belt on. Antlerless, of course, and not a big one. It wasn't easy to get it sitting up but worth it to do it once.

I’ve crammed blacktails into my buddies Honda Civic hatch back a few times, also thrown them on the roof before, crammed a big Mulie in the back of my ex’s matrix, had a friend shoot a spike bull elk and crammed it into a Pontiac firefly.... came to work on Monday and his car stunk so bad. Using what you got is what you gotta do, love hearing these stories

Volkswagen , moose , deer ,bighorn sheep antelope best car I ever owened lol

My Jetta had the craptastic-est paint job! Looked like a licorice allsort, layers of black paint and grey primer, likely went through the factory paint line about 4 or 5 times. But it flaked off where the sun shone on the door panels, and over the engine area of the hood, making it THE rolling moose decoy!

I actually shot my one moose, within 50 yards of that car, too. Poor dumb, love-struck dude! LOL!

I took a bull moose home in the back seat of a 72 Datsun 510...........legs sticking out both rolled down windows.

47 posts and only one pic....SAD! I would have thought if you were gonna stuff a beastie into a civic you'd be crying with laughter over how ridiculous it looked!

A buddy who was truckless for years used to go to a mattress store and get a queen sized plastic bag for his deer. Once, a manager was in the back of the store looking for a plastic bag for the same purpose for his hunting car at the same time my buddy was.

A Subaru? I thought the Albert County Dream was a 2-door Cavalier ... :d :d :d

It is. Gallen is a more upscale Albert County resident that's all. Could be worse, in Kent county it's a half rotted out Honda Civic with a light bar mounted on the hood. For the record, however before my little Ranger came home a 1999 Saturn SL1 got me back and forth to my grouse covert for a number of years.

One of the funniest things I ever saw in Charlotte County was a crappy import SUV (Rav4 or something like that) parked at the wharf. It had a winch on the front, mounted to the hood ....

Well, I put a bull moose in a Smart car and drove from FSJ to Kamloops.

That was nothing compared to my buddy who strapped an elk to his CT90 and drove from the Yukon to Cranbrook.

I use to have a VW Golf. I picked up a fish box from one of the fisherman in the passage and just cut the head and legs off the deer. I lined the trunk with a tarp and the fish box fit right in. I managed to jam them in and keep the blood from getting in the carpet. easy as pie.
