My USP Compact Tactical arrived today. I find the grip more comfortable than the the full size USP and I also think it is more nicely balanced than the USP (not so muzzle heavy). The trigger does not feel as smooth, but I only have a Custom Sport for direct comparison at the moment (which has the match trigger). It has an O-ring barrel similar to the full-size tactical. Overall, I am really impressed with it.

Anyone else have a chance to handle one yet?

Mine wont be here til Saturday.:( Nice to see a pic of the left side, the slide release is quite far back, that should work well with my pork sausage fingers!:p

I like mine a lot. The decocker was very stiff until I cleaned and lubed it. It was nice to shoot but muzzle flip and felt recoil was more then my Glock 21. I only put 50 rounds of ball through it and it ran 100%. For fit and finish it is top notch. I do have to say it is better in that department then glock. Overall impression is high but for concealment (UTAH CCW holder) many restricted glocks and other pistols are much smaller and lighter.

Ponts very true about other pistols are much smaller and lighter however most are 12(6) prohib. for us non 12(6) Canadians. Its nice that Wolverine has brought these in. I wish more Canadian firearms retailers were selling compact versions of pistols with greater then 106mm barrels. A 106mm Glock 29 under $ 1400 would be nice or I can dream for a XD 45 ACP compact (probably won't be a dream soon) with a 106mm barrel.

Mine arrived on Tuesday. I also have a full size Tactical to compare it with. So far I really like the compact version. It fits my hand better than the Tactical. Not been to the range yet, maybe this weekend.
What I really like is the trigger, much better than the Tactical. That might just be that I can grip the whole pistol better.
I'll post a range report when I get it out.

Wrenchgod from Hunter's and I took my new USP Compact and Sig Mosquito to the range for the first time on Sunday.
Aesthetically and ergonomically the pistol is very pleasing, it fits my kinda small hand extremely well and damn is it a ###y looking gun! Felt recoil and muzzle flip is quite significant, much like an officers 1911. We put about 200 round through her, from ball to JHP, without a single hiccup. Accuracy wise, I am sure it will be a tack driver, once I get used to the recoil. At this point I am still more accurate with one of my 1911s, but still, 4" patterns at 10m were easily attainable...can't wait to take it to skills and drills and really work with the pistol. This is my first pistol with the lever style mag release, and I gotta say, I love it!!! For someone with small to medium sized hands, this is a wonderful innovation. Instead of breaking my grip to rotate the gun slightly to push the mag release, I can do it with a firm, unbroken grip with my trigger or middle finger (haven't decided which works best for me yet).
All in all, I am extremely impressed with this pistol and can hardly wait to spend more time behind the trigger. This one will be in my safe for a long time to come! Now I just wish I had more than two mags (listening Ryan?).:p ;)

Here's a comparison with a USP. The slide is shorter, the grip is slightly narrower and shorter, the edges and the grip are more contoured, the trigger is smaller, the trigger guard is smaller, the front of the trigger guard is shaped diffferently, and the safety/decocking lever has a much lower profile
