That was valid way back when..................now the LEO is expected to "shoot the gun out of the criminals hand" according to the antis.
 

1972 Trans Americas Expedition

For the crossing of the Darien Gap, a large contingent was needed.

A multinational, Royal Engineers led contingent cleared the way,scouted ahead & provided logistics support.

I wonder how far two tutti - frutti cars of today would get today crossing the Darien Gap?

And what the hell? Three Chevrolet Corvairs were previously attempted to be driven through the Darien Gap?

Great story.

I can get behind collecting rifles, vehicles, planes etc. Buying a mans uniform and log book and then seeking out someone to place a value on it based on where and what he was doing just rubs me the wrong way. The appraiser speaks of the man as if he wasn't a real human whom obviously suffered tremendously during and likely after the war. Placing any monetary value on something like this seems insensitive if not offensive to me. Would it be worth $5K if he had lost a limb?
