Video of the day

I hear you mate, but I place the blame on his family, who should have held onto this set forever. This, of course, assumes he had any.

I have the same feeling about finding boxes of photos at the antique store. Such items are entirely worthless to anyone who doesn't know who the people in the picture are. Not all families are interested in their ancestors, and some folks are unlucky enough to have arseholes for ancestors and want any mention of them scrubbed from their memory. But to see something that should be held onto by family indefinitely laying unwanted in a commercial setting galls me.

It's said you die twice - once at the "long blink", and again when no one says your name anymore. There are a lot of truly dead people in photographs in antique stores.

Anyway, video: I like steam power. Closest thing we have anymore to dragons, and deeply soulful objects. Here's an old girl hammering along at 100 MPH:

Well said sir, well said.

Likely been 20+ years since I last watched The Green Berets (1968) suggested by Big Bad in our movie thread.
This time scrutinizing details I missed the first time...which was LOTS!!!

Here's just one near the end...kinda a ugly little thing isn't it...

Its not an OV-1D, as the D variant didn't fly until 1969 and the movie Green Berets was filmed in 1967. A keener eye could tell you if it was one of the earlier short or long wing span variants.
