VZ-58s and more...FAQs are Post 1

Q: Considering this monster thread, what do you think of the VZ-58 type rifle?

  • It is a beauty as it comes, and a must have, since it drives Libs bonkers.

  • It is best pimped out and dressed up, a far cry from an NDP convention.

  • It is true it was the first cool gun in the Cdn. market for a long while, but I'll pass.

  • It makes me think of snide remarks, as I am a gun snob and the 58 is affordable.

rails and such

Yes, the B&T rails are expensive, but not really anymore expensive than the good quality sytems available for AR variants.

I emailed Wolverine Supplies, they want $455 plus shipping and tax for the VZ58 B&T rail. To save on shipping costs, they won't order unless they have enough orders to make it worth while. Maybe a group of us should get together on an order?????

I found this link today. Apparently we get a really good deal on the VZ58, especially if you get it max packed! The US price is pretty steep. The link is for the US variant of the VZ58. :)

Re: VZ-58s and more...

That brake is used by Czech forces. Someone on CGN was making a clone of it (can't recall who). I'd go for that one cost wise. That a 585 painted.......with what?

Re: VZ-58s and more...

Thanks guys I already have the break from Marstar and our fellow CGN-er Kasat was making breaks. I bought one from him too. I'm trying to collect different types of breaks ;)
