VZ-58s and more...FAQs are Post 1

Q: Considering this monster thread, what do you think of the VZ-58 type rifle?

  • It is a beauty as it comes, and a must have, since it drives Libs bonkers.

  • It is best pimped out and dressed up, a far cry from an NDP convention.

  • It is true it was the first cool gun in the Cdn. market for a long while, but I'll pass.

  • It makes me think of snide remarks, as I am a gun snob and the 58 is affordable.

here the FSB shipped is minus the bayonet lug, something i very much want to have. Im deciding weather to order a rifle with a cheap extention or a brake already, oviously if it goes to a gunsmith the attachment whatever it is will get destroyed if the muzzle brake needs to come off to put on a new FSB with bayonet lug, so if it does need to i rather destroy a $8.00 extension than a $35 brake.

It depends if the model with an extension is threaded. I presume the brake is welded on? Maybe they are small welds.

both are welded, but just a small spot on both sides where it would need to be gridded carefully out, from what i was told its an easy job, but renders the attachment useless. so it looks like ill get a rifle with the extension, and get the brake and bayo FSB later on, and find me a reputable smith.

Hi there two questions :

My factory folder is impossible to fold without tool, normal ?
