VZ-58s and more...FAQs are Post 1

Q: Considering this monster thread, what do you think of the VZ-58 type rifle?

  • It is a beauty as it comes, and a must have, since it drives Libs bonkers.

  • It is best pimped out and dressed up, a far cry from an NDP convention.

  • It is true it was the first cool gun in the Cdn. market for a long while, but I'll pass.

  • It makes me think of snide remarks, as I am a gun snob and the 58 is affordable.

I join!

I just got my CZ-858...

So far, I owned a SIG Sniper, a Classic Green, a Colt Match H-Bar...

I love expensive and well made weapons, and I think that I love the CZ!

It's so damn lite and simple look like a rock solid combat rifle.

Now, what should I get to make it even better, whats worth the money and what's not?

Regards,
Eric

Talking about 'Customer Service' elsewhere, maybe the vendors should ask if the butt stock is going to be removed. Then, they can crack that frign bolt loose for the customer. I made my own tool and it beats buddy's tactic of smashing the stock with a hammer!

OK guys , I live in the US and have one of those stock side folders that came with my kit . Do all of the military vz 58 folders have the wobble / play in them? Mine does look well used . Best way to fix / tighten them? Thanks for any help . Jerod

Jerod: Yes, mine has the "wobble" as well. This does make it hard to hold the rifle the same way every time. The folder is cool, but the fixed stock is better for accuracy in my opinion.

I've wached with tears in my eyes.
I dunno, bro. Shooting kegs?
At least drink all the beer and make sure it's empty.
Even the dog was upset.
Edit the post and put a disclaimer saying it was beer turned bad or something,
otherwise palinak will start a protest.

Soon, we'll all have vacations from shooting activities.
With the election coming soon, we'll have a lot of surprises.
The antis stick very religiously to their agenda.

Mine has a tiny bit of wobble when it's fully extended. Looking at the mechanism I would say this is normal.
