Yup, I was told to stay away from this set up as it tends to bounce. Maybe yours doesn't do this. I have been told the B&T rail and the Magic rail systems are the best way to go for sights and so on.

If you look at the VZ58's sight, you see there are two indentations on the assembly that hold the elevation sighting arm. Those indentations would be a good place to have a pair of small bolts or something like that hold a rail onto the gun. They're absolutely solid; they were machined right into the reciever! Looking at the design in the picture I just can't see how you wouldn't be able to clamp a short rail for a holosight on there and not have it stay solid.

Anyone discovered rust on your modern military brake yet? I discovered some after putting 60rnds of Hungarian ammo. Rust appeared in less that 1 day. !!I am going to chrome the brake!! I put several 100 rnds of Czech and Norinco silver box through the brake without issue. This is strange!
Hungarian stuff is wickedly corrosive! Wow, I am shocked  However it is really hot firing and accurate as hell

Gain some and loose some I guess. :?

It'd be cool if the insides of the brakes were chromed. Probably more than double the cost though...

Actually, one could hard chrome the entire thing than mechanically remove it from the exterior of the brake and have it reblued. That would work, but again, spendy...

A 2x Nickle plate would be cheaper than the chrome and work better. All the car exhaust systems use nickle and nickle is good in salt and moisture/ heat, ( industrial applications) .. This is what I think I will do. it looks like the cost will be about $35-40 for the brake. :)

I gave my break a cleaning in 35.6% Phosphoric acid metal cleaner and it cleaned the break up beautifully!

I have just made some mods to my rifle.

Brake has been sent for nickling. They put on one copper plate and then a double nickle pate. The brake will look awsome! going to cost $40 however. But the brake will be corrosion restistant!

Repainted my mags and painted the front grip with antislip black finish. pics coming soon!

A reliable source tells me the Czechs want like $150 US for each OKO mount, less optics. A distributor in Canada is trying to get them cheaper than that.
