VZhukov 58 project (the blackest NR vz58 ever)

Your magpul stock that you have in that picture will not work with RS Regulate stock adaptor. They made their adaptor for the ego magpul variant of the stock. So you will defiantly have to make your own.

yugo variant? I wasnt aware there was 2 type of zhukov stock. Anyway my first objective was to make my own adapter for this stock, so i just wont wait.. Thanks for saying and saving my time!

i agree this one is different.

Looks good! Glad your taking off the original polymer butstock off, it really bothered me when shooting. The vibration of the stock was awful and painful.

Or take what you have and do something like this! You forend can have a Bi pod attached :D This build remind me of a mix between SVD and some sort of semi auto modern sniper. With The AK front sight it would look neat. Could always fade hydro dip the stock in a wood grain maybe. Get the padded SVD cheek rest and you would have a pretty decent clone! I tried to do this but my scope ran out of adjustment and the original CSA mount is awful for this. I am gathering more parts to attempt this tho again!

IF you cant find a PSOP you could do orignal CSA mount with red dot, Still looks good!

that build is really unique, i like it but ill try to make my vz58 look like ak74-ak12 i think.

Might buy another vz58 sometimes... maybe a cz858 i dont know :)

I am not fussed with whatever mods people want to do to their rifles but I don't understand why folks are trying to make cosmetic changes to a perfectly good rifle to make it look like something else. I support your right to make the mods, I just wouldn't bother.

I never understood the obsession with the AK when you have a better rifle IMO. I'd take a VZ over an AK any day. But I would also take an AR15 over both :)

Dont get me wrong i like the vz58.

Just prefer the look of an AK, AK47,74,AKM,MAK90,AK12

Every mods im making might not be OEM quality but it wont be a rattling POS. Everything im doing involves drawings, precises measures, working with a machinist i have every tools i need to make something solid. Then ill cerakote the final product.

Now ill have a better rifle looking like an AK. :)

Nothing wrong with changing things up! I'm just saying, I liked my CZ858 way better than my AK and other AKs I have shot. It has a milled receiver and it is still lighter than a stamped AK47.

I can buy either rifle here and I would way rather have a VZ58. An AK47 was the first rifle I bought when I moved here because I could never get one in Canada, so I understand the appeal.

You can lighten an AK {see Jim Fuller front end job for an example}, but you can't easily build the AK's extra degree of ruggedness into the VZ58, nor can you rub a lamp and ask a genie to grant it the AK's vastly superior aftermarket and knowledge base.

Also consider that there are lots of modern AK derivatives around, like the SIG 556 or AK-12, but no one has remixed the Vz58 design or done much with it at all beyond adding rails and AR stocks.
