IRG just found out about all M+M's BS recently, and given their new MSRP, doubtful .. esp with the way NS works.
What will not happen? Irunguns will be selling them. Long and short barreled versions were both talked about by M&M for the US market. Their retail price for either version will be lower than the US msrp like everything else they sell

Unless IRG can source the rifles from somewhere other than directly through M+M I have a feeling they won't be selling them. What do you think the us msrp just got bumped higher again for? It's definitely not because the us market is suddenly able to afford the extra. US msrp means nothing in the us.

M+M is raising their fictitious msrp so it isn't economically feasible for IRG to import them. Simply a case of protectionism for their newly found Canadian distributor aka North Sylva.

Crooked bunch of shysters if ya ask me

Reflecting on the timeline of how this went down... I simply cannot put the blame on anyone other than Wanstalls.

2015: Canada Ammo has a thread about how the M10x is now with the RCMP lab. They quote M+M as saying a possible price between 2k and 2400. People are genuinely interested and very few groanings about the price. Excitement builds as days go by.

2017: m10x is apprived NR. People are still genuinely excited and some quote the previois Can Am quote for pricing.

Wanstalls presale: Wanstalls throws out a presale quoting unlimited supplies and a low price point of 1450... people are really excited.

M+M responds: they state no Canadian price has been set but does state that Wanstalls will be able to fulfill their orders.

Silence: everyone waits as few details emerg. Can Am throws in the towel clearly getting the shortest end of the stick.

M+M then sets MSRP of 1999 with NS. Note... this price point puts it square in the middle of the 2k to 2400 originally quoted by them taking our stronger dollar into account. Wanstalls then cancels preorders. People lose their minds stating theyd never pay that much... I do note the obvious difference to the opinions on price to 2015 posters...

If you remove Wanstalls preorder and pricing from the timeline you have a completely different story. Sure some will still think its over priced but the hard liners I feel wouldn't exist. M+M would look true to their word almost . That said behind the scenes we all know somethings not right... the way Can Am was cut out etc. Anyway. I will still buy this rifle. I want it. I wont buy anything from Wanstalls again...

that sums up very well clear and concise.

thank you.

Yeah, and NOW it's $1699 US MSRP...
https://www.mm-industries.com/product/m10x-dmr/
I'm sure they tried NS, but with a $1999 CAD MSRP they would probably been looking at $1700-$1800 dealer costs, not worth losing thousands of dollars over a few whiners not happy getting their money back.
PS...$1450 was still too much for what this mashed up bag of #### rifle is.

Haha wow, another price increase. This just goes to further show you how sleazy MM are. They should just put the msrp at $2000USD so then unsuspecting Canadians who are being milked by NS think they're getting a good deal.

Actually the price increase is for the Canadian DMR version. The m10x-z is still at 1499us

With the us gun sales at an all time low these rethards raised their prices. How stupid can u be to buy this if in the states when u can buy 2 good ak or really good ar15

Crazy isn't it, but don't forget its the DMR version. This is so laughable it brings a tear to my eye.

they have no further intention of selling it in the USA, theirprice increase is to make us believe we are not getting raped

Maybe my misunderstanding.
I have thought the 18. 5 models were and exclusive canadian modle

My thoughts as well. It’ll only be made for NS. Irg will not have access to it stateside. I think restricted versions will make it over. They can raise msrp all they want, but I’m sure it’ll still sell for the same.

I can't totally agree with you on the blame bcos it takes two to tango.

How is it possible that Wanstall had misunderstanding twice? The first was on the initial pricing in the preorder and second was when they said they will fulfill at the misunderstanding price.

Its like pulling the rug twice.

The american market is not selling like hotcakes, just reference the recent prices on s and w etc. With trump in office sales have slowed, how does increasing prices make m and m more competitive in a lagging market with a glut of manufacturers?.

What are the significant differences between the m10x-z and dmr that warrant a 200$ price jump US. And this was before the m10x-z was 1299... about... 2 weeks ago

Pretty interesting from that side alone... i mean match grade release and safety aside...

If you read the actual quotes from Wanstalls and M+M you will see that no price was given to Wanstalls from M+M. They came up with what they believed was a distributor level price and made their 1450 from that. Where they got that from has yet to be seen.. but M+M has been clear from the beginning that no price was set... and two years ago told Can Am to look for 2k to 2400 range in pricing. Had M+M given Wanstalls the price numbers that led to the 1450 price I would agree with you... but thats never been said anywhere.

If IRG offer the Restricted version for close to the actual U.S. selling price, they will get my buisness. Otherwise I will purchase State-side and engage the services of any one of several 3rd party FFL Holders/Importers to bring one across. I could care less about the 18.5" "DMR" version. I want a restricted M10X.....

As a simple rule in life always follow the money.

Special Canadian pricing and an exclusive North Silva offering for a special Canadian version............

Pricey, well who would have figured?

Candocad

Candocad.

Got my cousin down south looking at one I'll get the 18" barrell and should be good to go. Not gonna pay them north sylva crooks a penny.

Guys this stuff happens
It's buissness. People try tocbe the first to market . And some time they jump the gun.
It's no different then any other buissness.
Also when you forget all of that. Go look at what you contract says..

A agreement and hand shake sometimes will, but it don't meet ###
The things I learnt from being at one shot tactical and working for others in the gun buissness is this.
Money talks and nothing else .
And even if you have an agreement
If a big enough fish comes along. A brand will drop you faster then a hookes at a casino. Contact or no contract.

All that is happening here is you are seeing the dark side of the gun biz.

There are lots of positive cooperation between people in the gun biz. But I wear my armor on my back not my front now days ;)

Thats a sad state of the Canadian gun industry when legal contracts mean sh*t and its okay to trample consumers in a rush to market.

"For once deceiv'd, was his; but twice were mine ..."

MM said the first batches will be only for Canada. Lets be honest here. These fools need all the sales they can get. They wont say no to US sales.

I'm sure if IRG asks for 500 "DMR" versions they'll get them and probably at a discount. I don't think M+M would have any problem in screwing NS over as long as they get paid.
