Every one is the hunt of a lifetime CW......no two hunts ever go the same.......
So true! This one will be like all the others: unique!
Every one is the hunt of a lifetime CW......no two hunts ever go the same.......
In all reality though it is between my two 30 cals...
Always was. Probably the main criteria. That and deviance.

IMO... take the one with the most field experience... nothing inspires more confidence than having "been there, done that..." and confidence is worth its weight in gold... so to speak.
I'd just take the lightest one.
Taking it to extremes as an example, on a pack hunt I'd rather see a 3MOA 5 1/2lb rifle (don't own one, hypothetical) than a 1/2 MOA 7 1/2lb... anyday.
On the fence on this....... Having a rifle with some memories is always nice..... But if you never take a girl to the dance, you will never know if she puts out afterwards...
Gonna have to do some more shooting with the "skinny one" and see how I like it. So far so good but really, less than 100 rounds through it.........the other problem is the lack of components. If I shoot up all my 150 TTSXs I'm not sure I will be able to get more for the hunt. I know, I know, shoot some other 150 that I have lots of and save the 150 TTSXs, however I am kinda OCD that way and really only like to practice with the actual load I use in that rifle. That way if there is some anomaly that is going to show up every now and then, I should be able to catch it at the range and not on an expensive hunt.
I just checked my supply and I have 183 loaded but only 20 more bullets to load.......that's not a lot of shooting to wring out a rifle over a summer and fall. Anybody got a 1/2 doz boxes of 30 cal 150 TTSXs they would part with, or know somebody who does or maybe a store?????? I do have 100s maybe even 1000 other 150 30 cals but like I said before it ain't the same.........especially subbing a C+C bullet for a homogenous one..........HHHMMMMMMMMMMM.........just not right IMHO. Now on the other hand I have likely 250 loaded for the 300 Wby and another 2-300 bullets on hand........and I don't need to wring out this old girl as we have decades of history and thousands of rounds together......... If someone could point me at another 250-300 bullets I would feel a lot better about taking the Skinny One...
Prophet River has 150 grs for sale.
Douglas, I am sure this has already crossed your mind but why not just take both rifles.
Their website shows them but that don't mean they have stock but I'll be checking tomorrow.........
