Well, Now They've Declared War.....

If I didn't hate politics so much, I'd probably be one of the #######s in Ottawa that showed up in a private jet once in a blue moon.

My oldest daughter is a co-producer of a nationally syndicated radio talk show. (most of you know who I mean) She sees it every day. The bastards tell their assistants what to say without a nod to the host.

The self-serving attitude of the pols in Ottawa and the caps of the Provinces and Territories has to stop. What I see is a bunch of people banking on a secure retirement plan. So much so that I may run myself in the next fed election.

Tell you what, I am a nobody. But I have a great many friends in my community whose beliefs coincide with mine and by christ I'll make my voice heard in the barnyard of Ottawa. Enough is enough.

Yours truly Paul

Sorry for ranting but I am serious. I hate politics, but sure as ####, if some of us don't run for office we will see our rights eroded by people voted into office by narrow minded urbanites

Are you guys really surprised by any of this? Did you really think the freedom we had a few years ago would remain when the registry got rolling? I can remember shooting black rifles with non-neutered magazines at the local gravel pit without a worry in the world. Now it's something you just don't do any more because of the stupid laws. The goal of the registry is eventual confiscation.......Aren't ya glad you registered everything?
tell us somthing new pal
we know all that
none of us voted this #### in ok!
we are ####ed we know that
we just don,t want to got out not fighting

No Lamar I don't think too many guys who've been around awhile are surprised at this. I remember telling the geriatric nitwits up at the Homestead Full Bore shooting range in 95 that this would occurr and having them laugh in dersion and scorn.
The next to happen after the GF military rifle people are dealt with will be an attack on the restricted firearms (military rifles) and GF handguns (short barrelled) - a tougher nut for them to crack but not impossible - First to go will be the military rifles and then the short barrelled handguns. Next on the block will be center fire sporting shotguns and rifles and the rest of the handguns.... And it will continue to go from there - one skrimish after another. I'm sure buried in a stack of papers locked in some bureaucat's desk is a time line for the dissolution of the privite gun owner in Canada. Fighting the ass kissing, perserve my pension at any cost burecarcy is fine and worthwhile but I think most gun owners know in their hearts that political change at the top HAS to come FIRST. Bring on the election and volunteer to help contribute time and money - the sooner the better for our sakes.

One think not realized by US (firearms owner) is if the gov't siezes all prohib. Those shooters may get pissed off and sell all of their restricted. Now there are fewer restricted to conquer.

On thing not reilized by the gov't. There are illegal ways to buy guns easily than to but guns legally. There are illegal indoor shooting ranges. If they take away guns for us and we wish to follow out interest our only option is to do it illegally.

The gov't also doesn't realize. If i own $10k work of guns or even just 1 or 2 guns. These guns are my babys. Once mine the firearm is not the ordinary one sitting on the store shelf. I learn the ins and outs of my firearm and it not only becomes a monitary value but sentimental.

What this means is if there is a an illegal activity, and I am talking in general. For example the illegal activity could be, a real crime, a harmless crime, drinking and driving, filing my taxes properly, not making noise after 11:00pm as per bylaws, dumping trash in a city dumpster vs paying 2 bucks to the dump. In the above cases you can be in the white (stay clear), in the black (you are definately doing something illegal), or in a grey area (where you might be doing something illegal but just close and you likely will not get in any trouble if authorites found out).

As a member of society that put all the time and effort of becoming a firearms owner I would stay absolute clear of any trouble. After all i don't want to loose my assets, my babies, my fun, what should be my rights, I would always stay in the white.

If all my guns were gone. Well lets just say those grey lines could look like acceptable options. Trust me I will be making noise whenever I want (I will cut the grass at 3am, toss my trash out the car window) For all i care i got nothing to loose. Others may be taking further steps and involve themselves in the easy profit of criminal activity.

Point being firearms owners i think in general want to put out a good image to society. If stats canada would make/provide/relese factual stats of gun crimes committed by our guns out of total gun crimes commited. I think the conclusion that would have to be drawn is that the current liberal guided changes are all just paranoid uneducated decisions.

--20--
I Support all legal prohib owners in their fight against uneducated burocracy.
If you paid for it, and the gov't allowed import then took their taxes on sale the item has been proved 2x legal.

I don't know if this is a good idea or not but with Bartok5 willing to fight this, I propose we hold a CGN donation fundraiser. I will gladly kick in a few $$$ for this fight.
This is our fight not just Bartoks or the 12(whatever) owners. I don't have 12(anything) but I see how important it is to try and stop this bull#### before is steamrolls us all.

So..... what say the CGN's .........should we set up a fundraiser?????

8300 members @ $5.00 each........

YOU GET THE PICTURE

I would happily send $5.00 to support this.

We are actively considering a court challenge to the interpretation of C10A. A number of Ontario clubs are currently in discussion on this. Costs are probably $50-100,000. We can raise that if we make a concerted effort.

The other action to take is to vote out those money laundering and thieving Liberals and give the Conservatives a majority government.

####

Excellent idea...
If an address could be posted with information in many Clubs across Canada... (better yet if they accepted the donations).

$50-100k shouldn't be hard to raise.

If the message is delivered clearly I don't think there is one person who would not drop is some coin/cash.

Now that the chance of an immenent elction is over our only avenue appears to be a legal challenge. Canadian Shooting Sports and several other clubs are checking this avenue out. Keep your cheque books handy.

sh*t like this wants me to get out of shooting
.

It makes me want to get more into shooting and makes me want to get other people into shooting so we can piss off the government by enjoying the sport of shooting which there is nothing wrong with.

Hey there,

Quickly perused the opinions in here and damn if I don't agree with everyone here. The federal government got the whole ball rolling well before the gun registry. They did this by not putting the right to personal property in the Charter of rights and freedoms. Thus, by filling out the proper paperwork, they can take anything from us...not just firearms. So, who do I write a cheque to? We need some creative ways to fight the coming total ban (we all know it is coming). Anybody have any opinions on the NFA?

There is a boot on our back gentlemen and it holds our collective faces in the mud.
